Does transfers on here include managers?!

If so -
NORTHAMPTON TOWN

At present propping up League one must be a big disappointment to the Chinese company that supposedly paid £6m for a 60% stake in the club just a few months ago. Edinburgh their manager paid the price and has gone and replaced by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

I've still got a shirt with the northern rock logo and Jose Enrique on the back.

I think I jinxed him, wore my old promotion 3rd shirt with his name on for 5 a side on Monday.
Probably worthy of its own thread.

My favourite ever comment on rtg was when an Italian bloke kept calling Dick advocaat the "dong endorser ".

What are they gonna do, fine them? 1 year transfer ban? PSG won't give a s***.

The loan of Mmmbop is to ensure that his spend goes into next year's accounts but the way it's been managed meant that UEFA were always going to investigate it. Alas, they are only going to find a loophole and PSG will escape punishment so FFP will once again be shown to be impotent when used against the elite clubs.
Plus, next year there will just be another wunderkid somewhere they'll want to buy for exorbitant fees. These clubs can't help themselves but make headlines for who's breaking a transfer record and signing the next big thing.

My observations are Colback will stick rigidly to a defensive task. Ive seen him come out on top defensively against some top players in wins both home and away. You've seen him more times and more closely than me recently though.
If people are expecting him to be a driving force then they'll be disappointed. If they hope he might limit an opposition driving force then maybe they won't be disappointed quite as often!!! :)
I think he's completely stagnated here. At you he often performed best in a full back role. Here he's played in midfield and been more involved which leaves his weaknesses far more exposed. He needs a move, there's no way back for him here in my opinion.

Also, it's no coincidence that he's spent his whole career fighting relegation(bar 1 season in the Championship).
I agree, at ours he was mainly LB and midfield. He had the occasional "good" game in midfield but for the most part was solid defensively. Percentage wise he had more good games at fullback but they all just merged into the "Colback pot" which probably made him "appear" better in midfield too. At newcastle he was pretty much always in midfield so probably did end up looking stagnant.

You've hit the nail on the head regarding Colback and any player really. Try and play them in a position which highlights their good points and hides their deficiencies. A manager who did that at ours was Big Sam(obviously not for Colback). He had the revolutionary concept of putting round pegs in round holes and building the playing style around strengths.

Colback isn't really a player who wins you many games, but he also isn't a player who loses you many games which at PL level isn't something to downplay.
He must've knocked up a good number of games now. Any OG's?? Any absolute howlers that led immediately to a goal?? I'm not talking about conceding from a corner or free kick, but direct howlers. Short back passes etc.

He does seem to be in a real rut at the moment though.
After what's gone on in the last month it'll be madness if he ends up on the pitch again and does ok.

I haven't seen how many you've got rid of so will he get a squad number???

I personally think he's better at left back where expectations for goal scoring aren't as high.
Strangely though, i think he's better as a Premier League "spoiler" rather than a Championship "achiever". He's better suited to just put on a good opposition player as he generally sticks to the task. To do that job well in the PL is probably as important as scoring the odd goal.
Colback gets plenty of stick, but he's been on the winning side multiple times against top Premier League sides. He's gone places where there's no room for passengers and come out a winner.
