Re: Holidays

Hey somebody's pinched my sombrero. <gent> It's a city with a lot of history, as mentioned above, it is a great mix of great french and german culture. I'm assuming you aren't looking for beach tourism here <laugh> ) The cathedral really is impressive in real life, especially if you come up the smal...

Re: Other Clubs' Transfer Rumours/Deals (Summer 15/16)

There really is no way of knowing transfer amounts for anything done in the last 5-8 years is there? It's simply never disclosed officially and alway based on "sources" Then you add in the add-on's, sell on clauses, performance bonuses, agent fees, and whatever else. Basically, they don't want to th...

Bouchard almost penalized for wearing a black sports bra underneath her white sports bra that was underneath her white shirt. <worried>

Can Wimbledon join the 21st century please? Or better yet, just give the fourth grand slam to a deserving nation, like Spain.

Re: New Members: Introduce yourself here!

Hello everybody, i'm from Slovenia. Not a born Newcastle fan, but I like it, there is something special about NUFC and your passion for football. I'm also a student coming on an exchange to Newcastle in September. When choosing my exchange destination the local football club played a big part of a ...

Re: General Tennis Thread

In all honesty though I love the first few rounds almost a bit more than the latter stages. I'm a sucker for a good made it from nothing story where some 16 year old kid qualified or some 32 year old slugger who never quite made it qualifies for his first major after years of effort. Or some fella f...

Re: General Tennis Thread

Only six Brits in the field total, time to move the weakest grand slam of the four somewhere else perhaps? Spain or Germany perhaps? Could use another showcase clay event, who the **** plays on grass. <worried> Anyway I'm just waiting for Tsonga and Monfils to show glimpses of potential glory just t...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 15/16)

I have no idea what you're talking about... I never said he was s*** or an a**hole, all i'm saying is that how can you call someone a success when he's only a backup/fringe player, you just cant. Also, how do you know he's going to be Terry's successor? Chelsea could go out and buy another defender...

He is definitely one of the weakest of the bunch as well. After mulling over hours and hours of match footage, discussing at length with my worldwide contacts and spending a few days running things over with my brilliant football mind. This is how I would definitively rank them with 100% accuracy. ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 15/16)

Exactly. There is a reason he is at Chelsea. It's as if he was just some fella on the sideline that just went "what? who? Me!?" once a couple injuries went against them. It's a premier league club, one that, if i'm not mistaken are premier champions and one of the most elite and best clubs in the w...

Re: Other Clubs' Transfer Rumours/Deals (Summer 15/16)

I've honestly never witnessed a player being slagged off for not moving to a top club <scratch> ... Not sure I get your point. Why would anyone slag off someone who stayed loyal to a club? It happens all the time, even at our beloved Toon. It's all about perspective. I spent 18 months listening to ...

Re: Safe standing survey report published, 97% in favour

It's got EVERYTHING to do with them, have you not paid any attention? This wouldn't even be a thing if it weren't for them. So should every family that's ever lost someone in a car accident have a say whenever there is a change to motoring regulations? Why should they decide what's safe for fans? S...

Re: Safe standing survey report published, 97% in favour

I don't think the Hillsborough families will ever allow it to happen. They'll put too much pressure on the government/FA to ensure it'll never happen. It's got Nothing to do with them tho. And the fans who want it far outweigh them and the minority that don't want it. I'm pretty certain we'll see i...
