Re: Days lost through injury
WTF lol. I mean 'the season' means 2 games, so sounds a lot worse than it might be. Yeah dramatic headline 😁 Issues with his knee again so a worry. Could this be reason we've been having talks with Schollterback Should be. I like Botman, but if we're counting upon his health it'd be irresponsible r...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Delap is apparently twerking for Man Utd. Still think David is doable though as he can be a little bit more flexible on the pitch and get minutes alongside Isak. Vlahovic is seemingly a more traditional out and out striker from what I've seen. Seconded. David is a very versatile forward - having sh...

Re: New stadium + Club Improvements
I didn't see the original leak of that design at the time, and I've no idea who the tweeter is, but they seem to be very defensive about those tweets and aren't presenting it in the light that others from the event reported it being shown - one of many very early sketches from the internal team try...

Re: Run In
Yeah I guess it depends on which side of the coin you look at. No doubt that teams that you'd expect to be in the mix at the top have struggled this season (Man City, Arsenal (tho they're nowhere near City/Liverpool levels)) and that has helped to mix things up a bit, combined with Man U and Spurs ...

Re: Run In
Complete opposite to last weekend with nearly all the results going for us. Glad we could take advantage. Feels like one foot in the Champions League now. Hopefully the players have their eyes on 2nd and take the game to Arsenal. Could make it four wins from four against Arteta this season. If that...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Chelsea
Agree with the above. Although the international feed commentary unanimously agreed with the red card, if anything I think McCoist's opinion reflects his bias towards physical striker play than it does anything to do with Newcastle.

Re: Matchday thread - Magpies v Seagulls
These were his words afterwards, feels like both these and the celebration are pretty respectful of us. "It's a nice celebration because they were my former team before but now I'm in Brighton and that's where my focus is. So I try to celebrate for them and make them happy. "I was happy with the go...

Re: New stadium + Club Improvements
Survey definitely not what I was expecting. I agree it should be more simplistic. Tbh I don't really care for seahorses or the lion holding the flag. Have the castle a magpie and some form Newcastle or nufc be good imo I also suggested some inclusion of the Tyne bridge which is more of a symbol of ...

Re: Matchday thread - Magpies v Seagulls
It’s never really bothered me in the slightest- if someone moves to a new club and scores against us so be it IMO. Either way they lose, if they celebrate then the fans of their former teams complain, if they don’t celebrate then the fans of their new teams get the hump <laugh> Personally, I’d rath...

No, I was thinking the Championship promotion shirt. But yes, the 08-09 one definitely deserves the Owen moniker.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Can we please stop paying the PL premium for these replacements anyway? I do appreciate the number of English players in the team, especially ones who're local and/or have loyalties to the club - but if you're going to pay the premium for top players, I think you get better for the same price elsewh...

Re: New stadium + Club Improvements
I think an updated rendering that maintains the same components but better illustrates them would be fine by me. Especially the heraldry and font which haven't aged well nor look great when sewn or printed on things

Looks heavily influenced by their last home kit with us before Puma (2009-10) - at least the light blue trim.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 9:36 amhttps://www.reddit.com/r/NUFC/s/GvEsW26L5T

Re: NUFC Kits Thread
Was excited to get the home authentic jersey for $66 CAD (36 GBP) this week over here (regular price 123 GBP). First home shirt I've bought in over a decade. Due to availability I had to buy 1 size up from my usual, but with the slimmer authentic fit it actually was bang on.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I don't see the point in blaming players for their salaries. If football club front offices had the collective will to manage their budgets it wouldn't be an issue and players wouldn't have the leverage - but owners just can't help themselves but to throw extravagant transfers fees at opposition clu...

Re: Football Titbits
I disagree. Family members are more likely to want whats best for the player and his career as opposed to career agents who are just after as much money as possible often at the expense of the best interests of the player. My view is that it's just a way of players shovelling money out of the club ...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c70575zx8l5o The leaches of the game. I'm probably missing something here or not fully understanding how agents work but how are we the 5th biggest spenders when we hardly signed anyone in the windows covered by the period in question? New contracts wit...

Re: Football Titbits
Not surprising with Chelsea pushing players to sign contracts on their unique terms that agents are then pushing to get a bigger cut in it all.bodacious benny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 4:58 pmhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/ar ... 0575zx8l5o

Re: NUFC Kits Thread
Positive with the green is that he at least almost always contrasts against the opposition, and the past 2 green ones looked pretty good. Negative is that the motivation for it is so transparent, and the first (and maybe the next) were super generic looking.

Re: Run In
I think Howe would have loved him. Do-everything midfielder, who loves a tackle, and quick passes forward.
