Re: The Message of Hate Thread

I mean, it's not unreasonable to expect you to be able to comprehend that A priori <whistle> **** you COT, making me google A priori too <laugh> <roll> <laugh> I had to do that years ago when my Italian supervisor kept using it. I think she, in a vocabulary sense, wanted me to pull myself up by my ...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

People who use pointlessly obscure words in emails. Someone just emailed me and the first line started 'Apropos of yesterday...', who talks like that? I had to google Apropos. For anyone interested it means 'with reference to/concerning'. I mean, it's not unreasonable to expect you to be able to co...

Can you not just make a brand new account then every post you make will published / printed ? What's this printing stuff about? Are all of my insightful posts appearing in some fanzine I don't know about? TF has been deemed culturally important for future generations and is being recorded on vellum...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

I was on the central line in a suit yesterday. I think I lost about 17 stone. <laugh> I opted to walk a few miles back towards Clapham Junction rather than face the crush and heat of the Overground line. I thought about walking (only about 40 minutes) the whole way, but to be honest with the tightl...

Re: What position should we spend most on?

Striker. Goals win you matches and I can't see any of our strikers getting into double figures I *think* Gayle will be our number one choice. Don't get me wrong, we need more there, but I think the market for strikers is skewed. It's either insane money or someone unproven. Can't see us doing the f...

What position should we spend most on?

Curious what position people think we should spend most on (and what we will)? Usually attacking players demand a premium, but I think a good full back is worth shelling out for, maybe creative mid too?

Re: The Tammy Abraham Thread

Getting back to Abraham, I don't see why people are angry at him. It's like a week into the window and he's away on national duty. Plenty of Chelsea youngsters have ended up in the wilderness by going on loan and never getting a shot. If I were him, I'd want to be prudent in who I signed for, see th...

Re: Most underrated footballer (In English football)

Probably a West Brom defensively player, one can be decent and massively underrated. They aren't great to watch, so rarely get priased when they rack up the point
Gareth McAuley is pretty solid at 37, Brunt's been decent for a while, Chadli is decent too

Re: The Florian Lejeune Thread

So who's leaving? Hanley or Mbemba? Can't see Clark or Lascelles going and we can't keep 5 CBs happy. It'll be Hanley I'd guess. He's not cut out for the PL. The big job will be convincing Mbemba to remain as cover, though I'd assume he'll see more game time this year than he did last. I respect th...

Re: Pavel's eBar

I'm usually quick to criticise Corbyn, but I think it's clear he connects to people easier. Emotional intelligence is important in politics and May has been shown to lack it. A more trivial example than the fire, apologising to MPs who've lost their jobs, but not apologising for calling the election...
