Re: Newcastle United is officially for sale, Ashley wants deal by Christmas

I wonder if that 300m is ex debt to the club (so more like 450 to pay him fully off)

Re: Mansplaining

Maybe sometimes it's misused/overused, but I think mansplaining is a real and common thing. I have worked in two male dominated industries using alot of numerical methods and I see it happening alot. Still a subconscious perception of numerical stuff as male. In my old physics life I'd see it happen...

hmm depends if the work pays for it or not. Meal + drinks during are free for us. And a few after.

Re: Do you enjoy using social media?

I posted on Facebook for the first time in ages at the weekend. I was at a wedding so posted a pic of me and Mrs BB. It's so easy to fall back into the habit of constantly checking 'likes' etc. I was on there more on Saturday than I have been for weeks, back to normal now tho and avoiding it during...

Re: Newcastle United is officially for sale, Ashley wants deal by Christmas

Yeah that particular Liverpool story isn't new either, I remember reading it a couple of weeks ago. Surely due diligence can take as long or as quick as you make it? A team of accountants/lawyers could scan through everything in no more than a week? sometimes its not just reading, its going out to ...

Re: Shakespeare sacked

TBF he inherited a terrible situation at Portsmouth he could do little about. Blackburn was a difficult situation too. Also I like when a player goes to lower leagues to learn managerial craft, not just expect to waltz in at top level like Giggs does Oh don't get me wrong, I respect that he's worke...
