Re: Toon Takeover Thread

I can't quite decide if this is a good or a bad time for someone to buy/sell a football club...worldwide recession imminent, the financial arse could fall out of the game if games are behind closed doors for the forseeable future and loss of TV revenue potentially... Good time to buy for a sovereig...

Re: Coronavirus

I've been told that study has been misquoted. 50:50 of known outcomes death vs leaving hospital, so excluding the large number of patients who are still in hospital Known outcomes is the correct figure to use. Sure but it's been misrepresented as "50% of people who have entered hospital have died" ...

Looks to me a typo
<ok>

So we think it's just presented with the smaller value first?
yeah.

Unless its meant to suggest flow as in Traffic leads to revenue...?

Re: Pavel's eBar

Mathematics folk: When using less than'<' and greater than symbols '>' does order matter and have any bearing on either value or is it simply just another way of writing it out? Eg: Traffic < Revenue Revenue > Traffic Context: I'm doing an online course, and one section was written: > Traffic < Rev...

The figures aren't encouraging for people who end up in ICU <erk>
Wow, 50.50 pretty much.

Re: Mackems

I felt for Stewart Donald in the end. Failed to follow his own advice; got so emotionally invested in the team and made some bad business decisions. The Maja situation* was harsh, and Donald got carried away trying rectify it by paying way over the odds for Will Grigg. I liked that Methven guy at f...

Re: Mackems

I've watched the first 5 episodes of the second season. Half of it is like watching an episode of The Office. Luke O'Nien comes across as a really sound lad, Maja came across as someone who was uncomfortable in front of cameras and just wanted to play football. I've only seen three but I agree on M...

America just forced GM to make ventilators. Not sure how I feel about that. Should a government be able to force a private company to make things? Flies heavily in the face of everything American capitalism stands for.
The same GM who had to be bailed out in 2009?

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Heard one potential thing is to roll this season into next and have an extended season effectively. Unlikely tho. There's no reason why (if lock-down is over) the current season couldn't be completed in June and July then the new season starts immediately in August. Players won't need a break as th...

Thanks. On complete lock down. Wife a doctor so she is getting a test to see if she can work Hope everything is okay, and if it is CV, hope it's a mild one (even though mild is still pretty s***!)
