Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

The Jos has missed a similar number of chances and has played about 1/5 as much. Perez is a good squad player IMO, but we obviously need to sign someone for the first team - hence the Almiron links. That about sums him up for me too. I give him too much stick because he's basically been entrenched ...

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

<laugh> Tbh if we can cut short the loan (probably can’t else we might have done so already) I’d do it now. On Perez, I’m not a hater of his but it seems to me that he thinks he’s proving doubters wrong by scoring the odd goal...a better response to the boo boys would actually be to score more ofte...

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

Got a message earlier from my Blackburn supporting mate saying "2-0 game over good game newcastle"

Literally just got in and turned on the match to catch the end of the first half <backout>

We'll probably go for Moyes, based on his spendthrift tenure at Everton

Missed the match (thank ****) as I was on the beach supping cocktails. My Dad said we were toothless but 4 nil was harsh (wonder goal, non penalty, two late goals and joselu missed a couple of chances) Is that fair?
Yeah. Sounds about right

4 games in a row that we've been on the wrong end of a potentially game changing decision

Rafa needs to find Rondon-like subs that can hold up the ball because Joselu/Muto sure can't do that.

Re: Match day thread - Liverpool v NUFC

To be fair not much other options in midfield with ki gone and shelvey not fit. Longstaff not gonna make his debut starting at anfield. Fair. Chris Waugh suggesting it WILL be 3 at the back (Fernandez, Lascelles, and Dummet, with Yedlin and Ritchie as WBs, and Kenedy and Muto as "wide" players. So ...

Re: Merry Christmas

Ruining the Scousers' unbeaten season would be a nice Christmas present. Don't see it happening though.

I'm also off to the airport in a minute, to fly to sunny Newcastle (plays local hero)

P.s. merry Christmas you filthy animals
