The worst Premier League win record of any manager to have managed 500 or more Premier League games. Quite the the achievement.

Re: FOOTBALL FOR THE WEEK AHEAD
It's about time sky 'retired' Martin Tyler. He's always been overrated but he is a truly awful commentator these days.

Re: Steve Bruce: The Gloves are off
I do think the players have been lucky lately that he's justifiably drawn the ire of everyone. Because he's not wrong, they've been s**** too. He unlike Rafa, as we've discussed, doesn't have a strict structure or tactics, so for all we criticise him for not inspiring expansive play, it isn't as if...

Re: Steve Bruce: The Gloves are off
He's lost the plot completely. Who's way has he been doing it for the past 18 month? Has he just been letting the players do what they want? Does he not pick the team? Does he not come up, with the shape, structure, tactical approach, game plan etc? Does he not lead training? What the **** has he ac...

Re: Match Thread: Sheffield Utd v Newcastle
This is the final straw as far as I'm concerned. Bruce has to go tonight if we don't win. No reason whatsoever to set up so negatively. 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders against the side looking to break the record for the lowest ever Premier League points tally. They've not won a game all sea...

Re: Match Thread: Arsenal v Newcastle (FA Cup 3rd Round)
Carroll & Joelinton upfront
. Not sure there has ever been a less prolific strike force. I understand the want to rest/ not risk Wilson but surely Gayle has to start.
Good to see Dubravka and Lascelles back.
4-0 to Arsenal.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Leicester
Who’s actually worried about relegation? I don’t think that we’ll go down but if we did I won’t lose any sleep over it. Even if we didn’t come straight back up chances are we’d be playing to win more weeks than we’re playing not to lose as is the case now. The Saudi takeover is also dead in the wat...

Re: Could it happen? Next manager suggestions
I'd say Eddie Howe is the best and most realistic option. Now would be the time to pull the trigger. Barring an absolute disaster we won't go down so it gives him just over half a season to get used to the players. I can't see Howe coming here. When he went to Burnley it didn't work out and he said...

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread
These mediocre clubs keep rotating through managers, often the same ol' bunch, and expecting different results. It's no surprise that clubs can't elevate themselves from their current standing when they don't receive significantly more investment or don't given managers time to affect real, lasting...

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 19/21 DECEMBER 2020
Fulham have been playing well over the last few games. Seem to be sorting their problems out. Massive game for us. I can't see us getting anything from Man City, Liverpool or Leicester over the festive period so this really is a must win game. If we don't we'll more than likely be dragged into the r...

Re: TRAINING GROUND CLOSED - VILLA GAME POSTPONED
Did he say we were still missing 5? Schar, Lascelles, Manquillo, Gillespie? Probably Dummett. Or even Anderson maybe? Could be ASM but I'm sure somebody said he was spotted in town the other day. Supposedly ASM flew back to France this week and will leave in January unless Bruce is sacked. Supposed...

Re: Wolves match thread
Seems like Steve has gone with the classic 3-3-4. All out attack!
Must be going for the rather lose 4-3 than 1-0 approach.

Re: Premier League going Pay-Per-View, £15/game
This will be the death of Sky & BT. Everybody will turn to IPTV for those games and soon realise it's pointless forking out for even the standard Sky & BT packages. Shot themselves in the foot here out of pure greed.

Re: NUFC Claim PIF Takeover Rejected by PL, PL Disagree
Great article on this from George Caulkin, Chris Waugh & Matt Slater. Right up until Tuesday, they expected a yes — again. When Wednesday rolled around, it was a no — again. After weeks of political pressure, painstaking negotiations and government involvement, Mike Ashley and the consortium attempt...

Re: The Callum Wilson Thread
Yeah Joelinton doesn't deserve the 9 shirt. Obviously he shouldn't have got it in the first place but taking it off him might ease some of the pressure on him and allow him to relax more. When you're wearing the 9 shirt you're expected to and have to score goals. Joelinton doesn't do that. Hopefully...
