Just seen the Man U score - were they good or were Chelsea bad? Or both..
Very harsh on Chelsea. Bit of a freak result and didn't really reflect the game.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Arsenal

Absolute **** that. Arsenal were horrendous and the game was there to win. Joelinton was f***ing s****. We've pissed £40m down the drain there. He can't hold the ball up like Rondon and his positioning is awful. He's always running short away from goal. Get in the six yard box and on the end of som...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Arsenal

Good time to play Arsenal. They've got loads of players out or doubtful for varying reasons.

We can definitely exploit the Arsenal defence. I see it being 2-1 either way or maybe 2-2.

Though I'm going BTTS and Over 2.5 goals so it'll probably be a 0-0 draw.

Aarons can play wing back
True but it's unlikely he's going to get ahead of Willems and Ritchie so probably best to let him go on loan as he needs and will be wanting first team football at this stage in his career.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

Murphy and Aarons aren't needed as we don't play wingers in Bruce's preffered formation of 3-5-2. Going off preseason / who our better players are, that would leave first choice / cover in every position as follows: GK: Dubravka (Darlow & Elliot) CB: Schar (Fernandez) CB: Lascelles (Clark) CB: Lejun...

I applied for tickets to the final at Wembley and tickets to a last 16 game in Glasgow. No luck with the final but I got 4 tickets for the last 16 game.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

Krafth is exactly what we need. For a couple of seasons now Yedlin has been the weak link (and after the back end of last season and this preseason I'd definitely have Manquillo ahead of him). If we can get a decent right wing back then we have a pretty competitive squad. In Bruce's favoured formati...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

I didn't want to quote all of those images again, but wouldn't you expect the crossing percentage into the box to be relatively low? Although maybe they were still comparing percentages, an image like that for relatively low percentage final passes like that doesn't really show anything. Agreed. Th...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi is reporting that Newcastle have held discussions with AS Monaco for French right-back Djibril Sidibe. He'd be an amazing signing. He was a key component of my NEC Nijmegen that I led to European glory on FM15. He was a great attacking fullback, loved an assist...

Re: The next manager?

Ask a silly question, but I watched Steve Wraith's interview yesterday (the state of his shirt. Ridiculous human being) and he mentioned the people who'd gone online and seen there were about 12,000 unsold season tickets which he saw as good news for the boycott. Isn't that about the normal number ...

Re: The next manager?

Yeah it's a table that takes some interpretation, including Keegan and Benitez feels kind of cheaty given the clubs they've managed compared to the others, and Bruce has always been at promoted/bottom dwelling teams. Plus 1.12 points per game = survival... True and realistically survival is our onl...

Re: The next manager?

I'm Mr unpopular opinion here I think Bruce isn't the worst manager in the world is he as good as rafa not by a long shot but he has experience in spades he did a good job with Hull a few years ago and always comes across quite well in the press. He's a no nonsense manager who wants to be here and ...
