Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON

Bruce is absolutely brilliant. What a revelation. Class job he's doing. Got to say everyone is doing brilliant apart from that little cronut Joelinton. What a waste of money, spunked £40m down the drain. We look much better when Carroll comes on / starts. Otherwise though, to a man the team were gre...

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON

It was expected Man City would thrash us and we drew. It was expected Sheffield United would beat us comfortably and we won. It's expected that we turn Southampton over with ease, so in traditional Newcastle fashion we'll no doubt get beat.

Got to say he's proved me wrong.

He's done a brilliant job to date and deserves credit for it.

Re: 25pts by New Year?

Villa (A) - 3pt
City (H) - 0pt
Sheff U (A) - 0pt
Southampton (H) - 3pt
Burnley (A) - 3pt
Palace (H) - 3pt
Man U (A) - 1pt
Everton (H) - 3pt

I'd be happy with the above.

Re: Jetro Willems available for 10 million

Nice headache to have when Lejeune and Schar are back. If the rest of our team had the strength we’ve got in the CB positions then we’d be pushing top 4 <laugh> Since over half of our league goals this season have been scored by defenders maybe we should just play a couple pf them up front to fit e...

Re: EURO 2020

I appreciate the move to younger faces, but a few, particularly in the midfield seem questionable to me. Mings, Tomori, Barkley, Rice and Winks are probably the 4 that trip me up Mings and Tomori are having good seasons and there arent really any English CB's not in the squad who are on better form...

Re: Weekend Football 02 NOV

Can't score with your arm. Or your armpit ? You can legally score with your armpit or shoulder. You can't legally score with your arms or hands. Under the current rule you're offside if any part of your body that you can legally score with is offside. Personally I think the rule should be change to...

Re: Dubravka signs new 6 year deal

Didn’t see/hear the analysis of the wolves goal, but looked like Yedlin could / should have shouted for Dubravka to leave it and he’d have cleared it quite easily rather than Dubravka palming it back to a wolves player. Very poor from Dubravka. You've got to at least punch it. He just palm it back ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC vs Wolves

I'd go with a fron 3 of Almiron, Gayle & ASM today. Joelinton has had enough chances now. 1 goal in 9 is not good enough. That's an average of just over 4 per season which is abysmal. Gayle got 6 league goals for us in his full Premier League season which is still nowhere near good enough but a bett...

Re: Rugby Union

We'll win it providing we don't make the same mistakes Wales and Japan did. All South Africa try and do is suck the life out of the game and grind you down to their level. As long as we don't fall into that trap and just focus on playing our Rugby we should win with relative ease. Jerome Garces was ...

Wily Boly out of the game - sustained a suspected fractured ankle in training.

Don't know whether this will help us.
He's Wolves best centre half so it can only be a bonus. That said against Joelinton a traffic cone would be an adequate deputy for Boly.

Re: EURO 2020

Problem with implementing football based punishments is in that doing so an incorrect assumption is made that this is a football problem. Kicking Bulgaria out of this or any future tournament, making them play games behind closed doors or giving the Bulgarian FA a fine solves nothing. At best it tem...

That was a brilliant game. Glad it went ahead. By far the game of the tournament.

All the quarters are looking tasty fixtures.
