Re: Match day thread - NUFC v BHA

Anything less than 3 points here is unacceptable. This. If you fail to beat any of Norwich (A), Watford (H) or Brighton (H) then you are in big trouble. 3 points is a must today. Scoreline, performance etc are irrelevant as long as we get 3 points. Big AC being back is a bonus. Means theoretically ...

Re: Liverpool vs NUFC

Not been watching the game, decided on a nap instead, I had a quick check on twitter though and apparently losing 3-1 to Liverpool is 100% down to Bruce <laugh> More so down to Krath and Dubravka. We didn't do too bad really. Krath made a massive error in the build up to there first. Atsu lost the ...

Shelvey had better pull out one of his "can be arsed" performances, otherwise we're knackered.
Hopefully the former club factor will help.

Re: Liverpool vs NUFC

Team is just a straight swap. Shelvey for Longstaff. Unsurprising but a little dissapointing.

Re: Liverpool vs NUFC

With Longstaff out I'd like to see us try this: Dubravka Krath Fernandez Lascelles Dummett Willems Almiron Schar Hayden Atsu Joelinton Shelvey can't be trusted to defend properly and if we are to stay in this game long enough to maybe nick a point or even all 3 then it is absolutely vital the two CM...

Re: EURO 2020

Lascelles is at least the same level as Mings/Keane/Tarkowski/Mawson so if they're getting in the squad Lascelles can count himself very unlucky. Longstaff isn't ready yet. If he plays a full season as well as he has since breaking into the team then he'll deserve to be in but not before then. Mount...

Re: EURO 2020

Saw Spain on TV yesterday (4-0 v Faroes) .... boring, boring, boring England V Bulgaria was the same. It was awful. Kosovo tomorrow will probably be even worse. These qualifiers are pointless. They've got it right with the nations league thing. They should have just prolonged that and used it as th...

Re: Match Thread - Spurs v NUFC

I’d feel the opposite. I’d feel embarrassed if one of our players did that (obviously wouldn’t care too much since a goal is a goal). And I’d be shouting at the TV if it was given against us. There’s the gentlest of touches from the Arsenal player but you can’t step across someone’s path as they’re...

I think he'll go with something like this:
Dubravka
Fernandez Clark Dummett
Manquillo Shelvey Ki MLongstaff Willems
Atsu Mutu

Re: Loan Updates

I'd disagree. It's gone exactly how I'd imagine. I mean he was hardly going to be any good was he? s*** manager who had brought in s*** signings <laugh> <diva> Yeah. What makes it worse is he talks in sound bites. Whenever he's on total sport it's so cringeworthy. I'm just glad he's got a job so he...

Re: Match Thread - Spurs v NUFC

Got to say, brilliant defensive display yesterday and a great result. Also credit where it's due to Joelinton, I (rightly) absolutely slated him for his displays against Arsenal and particularly Notwich but he was like a completely different player yesterday. Hopefully we can keep this up going forw...

Re: Spurs

Architect of his own downfall. He's showing Pardew level of stubbornness already. This isn't going to end well for him. I mean, is it the formation that's broken, or who and how they executed it? I don't know if using a formation that was used in all of pre-season for a third straight week really r...

It'll be interesting to see how we respond to that mess last week but i'm not optimistic we'll get a result as he's already mentioned he's sticking with that formation <neg>

Very harsh on Chelsea. Bit of a freak result and didn't really reflect the game.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Arsenal

Absolute **** that. Arsenal were horrendous and the game was there to win. Joelinton was f***ing s****. We've pissed £40m down the drain there. He can't hold the ball up like Rondon and his positioning is awful. He's always running short away from goal. Get in the six yard box and on the end of som...
