Re: Man U v Newcastle

Richard Keys and Andy Gray are doing my head in already. The Ronaldo wankfest is in override drive.

Really hope we spoil the party and beat them. Looking at our line up there is no chance of that happening though.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2021)

Supposedly we're signing Lewis Ferguson from Aberdeen, a loan initially with an obligation to buy for £3m at the end of the season. He handed in a transfer request after Aberdeen turned down a bid from Watford.

Aberdeen got Matty Longstaff on loan to replace him.

Re: League Cup: Newcastle v Burnley

I can see why he made a lot of changes. We were awful in the first two games so we had to give others the chance to show what they can do. Also he couldn't play Wilson in a game of no importance as if he gets injured that's us relegated. Wilson is the only player who will score enough goals to keep ...

If Holding on loan was being mooted presumably now that Ben White has Covid it kills that move.
Probably a good thing judging by Holdings performance at the weekend. He looked as defensively incompetent as Fabian Schar.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2021)

I don't think either Sean or Matty are going to be good enough. Sean looked good when he had a really specific limited role in a midfield 3 under Rafa. However he isn'tgood enough to play in a midfield 2 and he has a kanck of going missing in games. Injuries seem to have regressed him as well. If we...

Re: Other Clubs Rumours/Transfers (Summer 2021)

Arsenal have manages to spend a fortune this transfer window without actually improving thier first 11. White, Ramsdale, Tavares and Lokonga are not really any better than what they have. Odegaard was already there last season so just brings the team back to where it was then. I can't see them impro...

Rumours are he wants £90k p/w and we are only willing to offer £40k p/w.

Not looking promising at this stage.

Re: 4-3-3 ??

It would probably be something like: Dubravka Krafth Lascelles Fernandez Dummett Willock Hayden Shelvey StMaximin Wilson Fraser Though I think our squad is better suited to playing one of the variations of the 3-5-2 and I think we will play that. I'd expect us to play something like this, with Murph...

Swansea is the rumour going around on twitter.

Though that might just be people putting two and two together as the Swansea manager resigned the other day.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread

Don't suppose any ST holders would be able to get (or apply) for a Villa away ticket? I live nearby but it's going to sell-out to ST holders guaranteed. Can transfer money via PayPal if anyone can get one. You may struggle depending on how they implement the vaccine passports. Rumours are that tick...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2021)

Phil Jones apparently available on a free transfer from Man U (cos they need rid of him). We could do worse. He'd be a terrible signing for me. He's worse than Fernandez, Clark, Lascelles and Schar. CB is a position we're fine at and don't need anymore additions. Especially if we are playing a back...

Re: Latest takeover shenanigans

The Premier League either need to allow the takeover or come out a categorically confirm that they will never approve it. That way we'll have clarity and can all move on. At this point I'm not even bothered whether they allow it or not as long as we get a definitive answer and can draw a line under ...

On the subject of Everton - looks like Gylfi Sigurdsson is going down for noncing. Truly the scouse Mackems… It could be Fabian Delph just saying everyone going off someone saying Sigurdsson was the only 31 yr old in Everton squad Delph & Sigurdsson are the only two 31 year olds in the squad. Re: European championship final - England V Italy

I'll never understand the thinking behind taking pens like Sancho and Saka did. All you have to do is pick a side of the goal and hit it as hard as you can. Maguire's pen was the perfect example. Keeper has no chance and the only way you miss is if you don't hit the target. Odds are massively in the...

Probably our best half of football of the season. Credit to Bruce, our tactical set up and game plan has been very effective.

Need to make sure we keep going in the second half and don't switch off.

Re: Newcastle club shop closing, can shop online at ... Fansite?

It's been known for a while now that the operations of the club shop were changing right? Or am I imagining that? The URL botch is ridiculous though. Correct. It is part of the new deal with Castore. They will be kit manufacturers and operate the club store going forwards. They have the same agreem...
