Re: Spurs

This is a massive over reaction. I didn’t hear anyone bed wetting last year after 10 games in with no win. The football at times was horrendous to watch but fans have short memories. Not a dig at you but the hysteria after 2 games is mental. Yes the performance are Norwich was abysmal but we had eq...

Re: Match thread - Spurs v NUFC

We should get this guy in as a potential good luck charm.

Re: Match thread - Norwich V NUFC

To be fair giving it the big one has been Lascelles thing since the last relegation, he was absolutely scathing of the team he barely played in. No doubt it's part of the reason he got the captaincy and works to an extent, but there are certainly times when his mouth is far more talented than his fo...

Re: Match thread - Norwich V NUFC

This is an incredibly early and potentially knee jerk view, but what the hell. My initial optimism for this season was based on Bruce being able to take the solid base Rafa had created and build on it. What I've seen in one home game and highlights of Norwich is what to me looks like an attempt to d...

Re: Match thread - Norwich V NUFC

I think you have to give him a bit of time to decide that, Rafa was rightly quick to drop Lascelles and stick Fernandez in, but he stuck with a woeful Shelvey throughout that horrible spell at the start of last season. Were it not for the injury I dread to think whether we'd ever have seen Ki or Lon...

£350m a week. Seems cheap
<laugh> my bad I'm sure you worked out I meant 350k <roll>
You didn't specify a currency, 350m must be correct in one of them...

Don't forget Aaron Ramsey. Highest paid British player of all time isn't he?

Re: Match thread - Norwich V NUFC

This will be a real tough one. Norwich will be right up for it, and I'm not so sure I can say the same for our boys. Despite his mistake, I'd start Willems at LWB. I would like us to go with Joelinton Almiron and ASM to start but I reckon it would leave us too short in midfield. Team for me: Dubrav...

Re: Match thread - Norwich V NUFC

Really sensible signing for me at that level, did his job well enough then we got rid. I think we'll win. No more daftness from Bruce, a midfielder on the bench, Joelinton gets 5 goals. Maybe not the last part. Yeah I thought that at the time but then he hardly played (from memory). He didn't, but ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Arsenal

I'd be willing to give it a go, I'm just not sure whether he's suited to being that high up the pitch with defenders putting pressure on him.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Arsenal

I don't think it was helped by the formation, Shelvey holding with Hayden and Longstaff in front meant we lost the bite that they produce, and the game pretty much passed Longstaff by. I've said before though, if we move to a midfield two Shelvey can't be in it, his tanker style turning circle when ...

Re: Boycott

I think there's a massive bit of balance that's missing. There's a lot of fans that think we should have massive net spend which we're never going to have while Ashley tries to recoup the investment he made without due diligence. It's his mistake but he's not going to write that off out of the good...
