Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Cardiff

It's going to be terrible and very very cold. And I'm only wearing two pairs of socks.

Re: Dennis Wise becomes an advisor at NUFC

Are we getting the band back together <awe> Llambias > Charley. So if Ashley's hanging around then I'd have Llambias back. s*** tended to get done with him here. This implies that neither of them were just puppets for Ashley in the first place. It doesn't matter who's the go between, it's still Ash...

Re: The Match Tickets Thread

Just bought Watford tickets for me and my daughter (her second game after the Blackburn one) and decided since it was the same price I may as well skip my seat in the East Stand and stick us in the Platinum Club. Do I need to wear my tuxedo?

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

That was far from our first time round, my first games were under Jim Smith. It was s***. Well first time in ‘The Championship’ as it is now. The point is though that there's a lot of bottom half Premier League fans who've convinced themselves that getting relegated is some kind of reset button fro...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

s*** PL football every week and struggling to scrape a 1-0 win or get relegated to the Championship and actually win some games...I’d rather enjoy the football regardless of division. If we stay up this year we know we’ll be in the same fight next year as Ashley isn’t going anywhere. Championship f...

Sorensen scored on his Denmark U21 debut v Mexico. There's a chance he might have been in squad for our Cup replay at Blackburn had it not clashed with this. Promising news.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

We'd go down immediately as everyone else actually spends money on their youth team and we've only had Carroll and Dummett come through in the last decade. Do that and don't sign anyone and it's a disaster.

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

I'd still like to see Sorensen get a go. It's only the cup and it's not as if Joselu is adding any positive experience to the side. Would probably benefit Longstaff and Roberts too.

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

City is the Tuesday after, we'll probably play the B team in that game too to get ready for Spurs... In all seriousness the first team and the B team are getting more and more similar at the moment, so yeah I'd definitely imagine we'll see the same again against Watford less the injured defenders. M...

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

<laugh> Tbh if we can cut short the loan (probably can’t else we might have done so already) I’d do it now. On Perez, I’m not a hater of his but it seems to me that he thinks he’s proving doubters wrong by scoring the odd goal...a better response to the boo boys would actually be to score more ofte...

On Kenedy:

"He had a problem with his nail and the reality is he cannot put boots on - as soon as he puts the boots on, he is feeling pain."

I know that's actually pretty valid, but it sounds so Marcelino...

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

I thought Murphy gave us a different dimension last night and was definitely a threat. But he’ll be benched (or not even in the squad) on Saturday. Agreed, he's still not the finished article but his shot early doors had to be palmed away and that's what led to his assist, plus he won countless cor...

Re: FA cup replay - Blackburn v NUFC

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're winning and they scored. Just sometimes feels any time a manager is unjustifiably loyal to players any small and overdue good play validates the decision to continue playing them more than is deserved. I don't disagree, but if you're talking Perez it's not like th...
