Re: Toon Takeover Thread

I'd also take all the stories of human rights violations with a pinch of salt. What the western world reports and what actually happens is entirely different. In truth the western world doesn't like that the wealth of the world is in the middle east so they spin things up like this to make us distr...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

If you don’t avoid all Saudi-backed assets why are you making such a strong point to avoid the one asset they own that you essentially can’t replacement like their other assets - you can replace your travel from Uber, you can’t replace your football team. I can replace my football team with not goi...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

Yeah can't wait until the club I've supported more than 50 years becomes a propaganda tool in a public relations exercise for a family of evil despots. But hey transfer funds and all that. Worth so much more than being able to be proud of the club you support. Same (apart from the 50 years...). Gen...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

Massively unpopular opinion no doubt, but I actually thought he was one of our better players yesterday (and I realise that's very faint praise). He shanked that second half shot, but other than that I thought he looked one of the few players on our side you'd think was a Premier League player. He v...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Oxford (FAcup4)

The atmosphere was one of the worst I have witnessed at SJP, and this is the thing that upset me the most as it is the perfect symbol of the Ashley regime. The crowd was bigger but purely because it was cheap - there was no sense of hope in basically everyone around me. And by the end of the game i...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Oxford (FAcup4)

That was awful, and cold, and full of really annoying people filming it on their phones rather than watching the bastard thing. Wasn't even worth a £1 kids ticket.

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

Yep if they could **** off I'd be perfectly happy. If anyone boycotts in protest against Mike Ashley but signs back up for Saudi royalty they need to give their head a shake.

4-0 win. I'm feeling positive, and we should have a pretty strong side out.

Re: In talks: Valentino Lazaro

He'll slot straight in on the right hand side of our back 5 and provide more of an attacking threat than Yedlin or Manquillo. Can't see there being an effect on ASM or Miggy who both play much further up. Presumably it also allows us to play him higher if ASM picks up a muscle injury and gets Almir...

Agreed. For ASM to play through the middle we have to go back to the back 4.

Re: Jetro Willems available for 10 million

Did the deal happen in the end ? Just wondering now that he’s injured will we see him again ? He's been sent back to his parent club and there isnt even a hint of a whisper about signing him since the injury.<urgh> In fairness why would there be? How daft a club do we have to be to try to buy a pla...

Re: Match thread - Everton v NUFC

Just feel completely the same. Lose the last two, which we probably should have, and we're three points above the relegation zone and in a world of trouble. Should we have lost to Chelsea? I'm not saying that we 'deserved' the 3 points but I didn't at the end of the game think 'wow we should have l...

Re: Match thread - Everton v NUFC

Obviously very happy with the result but again it’s glossing over a shocking performance . We were atrocious last night night and it’s being said a lot more regularly . Scraped a win and a draw in last two games which could, and shoul have been two losses. As I say I’m very happy to be picking up p...

I wonder if that confession in the programme last week has taken some pressure off Lejeune and let him concentrate on his football?
Confession ? Also who scored
Second , Hayden or Legeune?
