Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 27/30 NOVEMBER 2020

The only real way to stop this, plus the risk of dementia and general high boot stuff is to apply 5 a side style head height rules to professional football. There's no way you can suggest a player is going up for a header with excessive force, with a boot at worst you're going to hurt your foot, if ...

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 27/30 NOVEMBER 2020

God Klopp is a cock He's lost the plot. Complaining that playing at home on a Wednesday then playing the early on Saturday is dangerous. If they made him play Sunday he'd be whinging about the next European game being a Wednesday. Obviously it's mainly just deflection from his players, but it's pat...

Re: Match Day - Crystal Palace v Newcastle

The interesting thing for me was that this was essentially a 4 4 2, and worked quite well. The question is if that's what you're playing why are you playing Hendrick over Murphy and losing pace on your right wing? Is it to have some extra cover for Shelvey? Ritchie as always added some actual decent...

Re: Match Day - Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Leeds and Fulham straight after. Leeds and Villa as you say could be tricky, but I'd have to target 6 points at least from those 4.

Re: Match Day - Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Just realised we've got a pretty decent run of games coming up, I thought we had some big teams coming but not til City on Boxing Day. Granted we're still awful but could be a good time to pick up some points.

I thought that was a great tackle by Longstaff and he gets booked.
Definitely. For all that I'm not a big VAR fan it annoys me that it can't be used in situations like that where we end up with a midfielder booked and they get a free kick in a dangerous position. Fortunately it was Shelvey-esque.

I've managed to get on through my Virgin box but it's about 12fps, the ball pretty much teleports. Glad I'm only on a free trial.

Obviously I've no idea who the club are going to handle this, but I've absolutely no desire to go back into the ground before Christmas.

Re: Match thread - Newcastle v Chelsea

I'll be honest, barring marginally more defensive organisation (Rafa still went for "I need loads of defenders because I've convinced them they're s**** ") I don't think there's actually that much difference between the two as Newcastle managers. That's no defense of Bruce though.
