Re: Holidays

Doing the summer family friendly holiday in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. Beautiful island, lovely quiet side. Enough going on , a solid year round town as opposed to a tourist seasonal resort. Wee cheeky golf week in Spain wi the lads soon so sadly yesterday was my last home game. Gonna miss The Scouse ti...

Re: Second best value player in squad

I went Lascelles, his influence on and off the pitch has been immense for a couple of seasons now. He’s still young for a CB (and as a captain) and considering he had no PL experience when we signed him I think he’s been superb. Conceding goals hasn’t really been our issue since being back in the P...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

It makes it interesting for the neutral, but I really can't stand Liverpool. Would prefer to see them win it over Man City who are pretty much ruining football. Man City are just one of a number of teams injecting money to buy success. Liverpool fans and the media will be unbearable for decades if ...

Re: NUFC announce financial results and issue update on transfer spend

I'm confused by those Transfer Fee's paid? I'm guessing that includes agent fees and signing on fees while the Sales don't. Still take 2017/18 season that 8.9 doesn't make sense unless that is the profit with made from that 62.2 m spent Also who were the 7 permanent signings? 1.Atsu 2.Lejuene 3.Jac...

If it doesn't hit his arm, it doesn't go in the net. Doesn't seem right to me.
VAR is the future. Don't be the luddite.
I'm all for VAR, I just don't think that should have been a goal.

I'm sure it hit Llorente's forearm.
Not sure where else his arm could have been.

Hopefully that gives Cardiff belief for this weekend.
I certainly don't think that Liverpool will batter Cardiff, would be hilarious if they won tbh <laugh>

We've already got the 17 I predicted we'd get by the end of the season, and I predicted we'd get another 5, which I still think we'll do.

Re: Pavel's eBar

I would just double check where the funding is coming from and if it's Brexit safe. It probably is, but that would be my main concern at any UK university right now. Yeah it’s fine. Surprisingly at the Uni where I work only 15% of external research income is from the EU so we're not overly dependen...

I hope you don't do government contracts! Re: Pavel's eBar

Bit of a work dilemma. My current role was a 2 year fixed term contract (got about 10 months left). An identical job in another part of the place I work came up on a 2 year fixed term contract so I applied for that and got offered the job. It’s the same grade/pay as I’m on now. However, this aftern...

Re: The F1 Thread

Floor damage from lap 4. From the curbs? Seems the most likely cause, but not seen anything stating it 100%. Merc said they found a chunk of it missing in front of the left-rear tyre, and Hamilton has said it was causing oversteer from lap four, overworking the rear tyres which is why he never push...
