Re: The F1 Thread

Yeah Vettel moved across to get the racing line and squeeze Leclerc, but it's not like he suddenly jerked into him. Vettel initiated it but Leclerc could easily have avoided him if he wanted.

Re: The F1 Thread

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/50388587 No great surprise, Red Bull sticking with Albon for 2020. He's done a very solid job since replacing Gasly (regular top 6). I know someone involved with Red Bull who said the decision was based on Albon closing the feedback loop quicker. Whilst Gasly wa...

Re: The F1 Thread

I thought there were large patches of not too much going on. With his fresh tyres it was an inevitability that Bottas would catch Hamilton. Honestly, turn 12-15 was non-stop action. The Williams going at each other early on, Norris/Ricciardo on and off throughout the race, Albon getting a lot of go...

It's 6 right now 😂. I wasn't prepared for this, we're going coat shopping before the track this morning.
Blame Canada.

Usually you'd expect temps of about 20-23 degrees this time of year in Austin.

NUFC are my downfall at the moment. Patriots, Nationals, Raptors, England Rugby/Cricket, even English football isn't too disastrous these days.

Re: Rugby Union

I'd much rather Garces than Owens.
Garces gets a lot of s*** just for being French, Owens is awful for England.

Re: Jetro Willems available for 10 million

Rafa did play Merino until his back injury, which he struggled with for months even when back playing. Then we were on a run of great form with Shelvey and Diame, which Rafa didn't want to disrupt, which is when Merino's agent started advertising his release clause.

TMOs don't seem to be able to spot forward balls in these quarter finals.

Re: The F1 Thread

6 straight Drivers/Constructors titles in a row for Mercedes. It's farcical. Fair play to Merc for developing a hell of a package, but the farce isn’t their success, it’s that a team as big as Ferrari (and Red Bull to a lesser extent) haven’t been able to pull their finger out their ass. It’s up to...

Who's watching the World Cup, some good games today! I am, but watching them all on replay rather than live, apart from the England games. Aus Fiji was great for the first 60 or so minutes, NZ SA also very entertaining throughout. Not seen the France game yet as I had the score ruined for me so mig...

How ever would we have lived.
I'd much rather see Germany beat San Marino 13-0 again, that will be much better for the development of smaller nations.

Re: EURO 2020

Very few sports are as universal as football, where very few countries don't have a national team under FIFA. Seeding major tournaments rather than qualifying just enforces a money making status quo with the stronger teams getting stronger and the weaker sides not getting to improve. In my lifetime...
