Re: Rafa leaving official confirmation

Saddened, soured my birthday celebrations, although i'm not suprised . I'm now swivering to renew my membership I will probably still do it blind faith etcetc. I fully get and understand why many fans and long standing ticket holders wont renew. Was there not a statistic doing the rounds that even ...

Re: Rafa leaving official confirmation

Would you take Ashley's word that a takeover was soon to be completed and sign a new contract before it was official? I wouldn't.

Re: The next manager?

If Charnely is contacting people about the job, then isn't that all the evidence we need that there is no takeover ? Who in their right mind would enter into discussions about a job, knowing that new owners were imminent and bringing their own man in ? A (sane) person surely would only enter into n...

Re: The F1 Thread

It does make you wonder why they are so much better - Ferrari and Red Bull are great teams, you would think they would be somewhere near Merc haven't blindly copied the Adrian Newey approach to this years car and it's paid off. Tbf they've been miles ahead of the rest throughout the hybrid era. A c...

Re: Holidays

Not a holiday, but in Dublin on Monday and Tuesday night next week for work. Might have a few hours to do a bit of sightseeing - any recommendations other than the obvious (the obvious being the Guiness factory).

Re: Rafa leaving official confirmation

Have I woke up and all of this was just a bad dream? Seriously, just when you think this club couldn't get any worse. Rafa was building from the ground up and getting involved in every aspect of the club making sure that things were done right compared to the shambles we were before and all of that ...

Re: The F1 Thread

I mean credit to Merc for building a hell of a car, but single team dominance in any sport is bad for fans as it removes the spectacle and unpredictability. I’m guessing Ferrari must have a similar budget to Merc so why have their cars not been able to win a Championship for so long? Red Bull probab...

Re: Rafa leaving official confirmation

If (and I don’t think it is the case) that is the case I’d be worried about the new owners. I highly doubt that Rafa is asking for silly money to spend on players, and the value he brought to the team far outweighed modest transfer demands.

Re: Rafa Benitez reveals 'positive' talks over his Newcastle United future

Yeah, even up until this I've carried on going to games when I can as I liked what Rafa was doing and how he'd brought the players and fans together, but not any more. So no membership, no away tickets, no shirts (don't tend to buy them anyway) from now on - plus savings on train tickets etc. shoul...
