Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Heard one potential thing is to roll this season into next and have an extended season effectively. Unlikely tho. There's no reason why (if lock-down is over) the current season couldn't be completed in June and July then the new season starts immediately in August. Players won't need a break as the...

Re: Coronavirus

Yeah there was a police check in the town where my parents live (I'm staying there for lockdown) so when I came back from Tesco earlier got stopped and they were asking why I was out. Said I'd been shopping and had to open the boot (trunk for the benefit of our North American members <roll> ) to sho...

I’m sure my memory I’ll be jogged by what others post, but beating Man C last season was class.

Re: Coronavirus

I know, it’s like where the hell has peoples common sense gone? I know if I got it I’d be fine as I’m young (relatively) and healthy, but I’m hardly going to go and play football in the park or something and risk spreading it to someone who could then infect someone vulnerable. It’s so bloody annoyi...

Re: Coronavirus

The amount of morons who went to the beach etc over the weekend is bloody ridiculous. I watched the news earlier and an Italian doctor was on, he said what people were doing her was effectively mass suicide. People should look at Italy and Spain and see it’s going to happen here in all likelihood. H...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Trying to be optimistic and probably being wrong, but it could be the number of deaths in Italy and Spain is because it’s more common for older generations to live with younger family members so it spread easier? Whereas in the UK it’s rarer for the grandparents to live with the family.

Re: Pavel's eBar

Mortality rate needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, we dont know how many people are infected, so how can we accurately calculate the mortality rate, we can only calculate that from known cases, there could be thousands out there going undiagnosed and coping pretty well. Covid is a concern and w...

Re: Pavel's eBar

My work closed with people to work from home from tomorrow until 1st June at the earliest. That is a very long period! I’m interested to see how many companies reduce their office space and put people on rotating home-office cycles after this to help them save on rent costs etc. Yeah, the whole “be...

I work in medical research with surgeons from around the world. The situation in Spain and Italy at present is dire, surgeons are being asked to perform operations on infected patients (or patients where they don't know if they're infected) with limited or NO protective equipment such as surgical ma...

Re: Loan signees

I thought I read somewhere that the loans would extend to the end of the season, whenever that may be, and any players whose contracts are due to expire in June 2020 would also have them extended if the season hasn't ended by then. As I say I can't remember where I saw this. Looks like we could be ...
