Re: Howe has been admitted to hospital
I think most of us would have been the same, you think it's flu / a bad cold and just stay in bed and try to sleep it off for a few days.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
You want to be careful of that in the current snowflake climate ;) Joking aside, it’s a good point. Liverpool (and others) do it well. I think we can be included in that group after signing Kelly on a free, barely playing him, then shipping him off to Juve for 20m somehow <laugh> Even funnier that ...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Delap is our number 1 striker option Can't see how/why he'd come here playing behind Isak. Have a feeling some of these Prem names in the media (Delap, Huijsen etc) are just out there to take focus away from whoever we are actually targeting. Think Forest is a good shout for him. Playing as a main ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Villa
Is that really the case though, we were competitive for the first hour (and only went behind to a deflection in the first place), before having a bad spell that they capitalised on. I actually don't think we were that bad. I’m not sure I’d say we were competitive - they should have been 4-1 up at h...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Villa
Villa were always favourites for that game. Their home form is decent and they were on a great run. I’m not reading too much into it, it was a bad day at the office and the favourite won.

EL definitely been impacted by not having CL dropouts join it - makes it massively more winnable than before.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 7:36 pmTaken from the BBC Sport app text commentary:-

Re: Run In
Just looking at the run in - wr have a GD of +18 Considerably better than Forest (13 ), or Villa ( 6 ) and equal to Chelsea ( 18) Suggest we will beat Ipswich in next match- scoring 3 or 4 may put our GD out of reach Could come down to GD for 5th spot The next 2 days will give us a feel for the siz...

I think some of the squad players need to up their game (in a wider context). When was the last time willock came on and changed a game for example?

Re: Run In
Forest still have to play Chelsea. Chelsea have us, Forest and Liverpool. We’ve got Chelsea and Arsenal. Villa have to go away to city. Everyone will drop points somewhere. I can’t see Man City failing to get top 5 given their fixtures. I also can’t see Chelsea getting it. So it’s two from us, Fores...

Re: Run In
I’d have taken 6 from the last 9 if offered 3 games ago. Man U was a given for 3 points, going into palace they were in good form (city aside) so we all thought it was be a hard game (which it wasn’t in the end) and Villa are one of the form teams in the league (along with us) so going away to them ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Villa
We've just won 6 on the bounce including a cup final, I can happily accept a loss every now and then. Especially given we never draw... This. Would happily take 1 loss in 7 (6 being wins). Every single team in the league pretty much other than Liverpool will win some games and take some losses, hav...
