Re: The winter 2021/22 Covid football thread

I don’t know tbh, you can be double vaccinated and take all the precautions and you can still catch it. If you’re working and training in such close proximity pretty much seven days a week it seems like it’s hard to avoid.

The winter 2021/22 Covid football thread

So Spurs are the first to fall victim to a Covid outbreak this winter with 8 players now confirmed as receiving positive tests.

They have asked for their PL match at Brighton on Sunday to be postponed.

Chances are it won't be the first Covid postponement over the next few months.

Re: Sports Direct Signs are Coming Down

Spelled bread is allready a thing though <laugh> I'm not a hipster so don't know what that is ;) Nordic breads are the best (first introduced to me in Iceland). And the introduction of a local bakery called The Danish Pastry House below my office has really improved my work day. Has it also increas...

Re: The ToonForum Whisky Club

“Interesting different” I don’t mind if it’s not too expensive. I paid about £31 but with vat added it would be a bit more in the UK. But in context I could have bought 1792 or Eagle Rare for 2 or 3 pounds less and Woodford Reserve for £9 less and on first try i'd say I prefer any of those three. B...

Speplt?
As a norwegian I say that should be a word from now on... Just need to find a meaning <scratch>
Sounds like a loaf of bread that you'd get in a hipster bakers, definitely covered in pumpkin seeds etc.

Burnley are certainties to go out I'd say, they'll be fielding their reserve reserves I'd imagine.

Re: Squad Overhaul

With the new owners I don't think it's an issue at all if we have to cut loose a few people for vastly reduced rates / free transfers. If we stay up we could easily sell Gayle for a few million to any one of numerous teams in the Championship. Wouldn't matter if we only got £4-5m. Same with Hendrick...

Re: The F1 Thread

I dont think it was a brake test but just bad race management. On the whole I would say Max needs some sort of penalty, be it aggressive racing and pushing competitors off track of slowing down to let someone past in the middle of the track. Total desperation by Max. Really disappointed with Christ...

Re: The F1 Thread

Wasn’t a brake test, just confusion imo. The right outcome prevailed in the end.

Bonkers race, they can’t keep that circuit the same next season, entertaining as it was.

It’ll be suicide if we play Willock / Shevely in CM against the likes of Man C and Liverpool.

That was going to be a mighty lap by Max but he was always on the edge of disaster. Not sure if it was brave or stupid
Could have cost him the championship. Lewis has made mistakes too so a lot could still happen.

Ake on loan mooted. I honestly have no idea how good he is
Not very <laugh>

If I was to look at a realistic Man C loan signing I'd say Zinchenko as can play LB/LWB/CM.

Given the Mendy situation I doubt they'd let him leave unless they got someone in first.
