Re: Match day thread - Watford v NUFC

Tbf to Murphy he’s a winger and not a defender. Wingers generally aren’t known for their tackling ability and fearless in the face of danger.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Been a long time since I watched football focus (easily 10 years), haven’t watched Soccer Saturday for about two years now (used to love it) either. Just seems totally dated and cliched now, and the “expert” insight is laughable.

Re: Match day thread - Watford v NUFC

Either way you look it at - Murphy should've least hit the target Longstaff should've scored that sitter Joelinton should of hit his half chance first time ASM should've tried a cheeky lob when through on the keeper. When you don't score your chances you will always struggle to win games - plus we ...

Re: The F1 Thread

Yeah Hamilton showing that your write him off at your peril. Ham will probably still have to take an engine penalty at some point tho which could swing it back for Verstappen.

Re: The F1 Thread

Yeah, McLaren definitely made a mistake there and should have overruled him and made him box. Every single other team saw the rain and what was going to happen. Shame, but that’s life.

Re: Match day thread - Watford v NUFC

Well, at least even though we don’t win, generally our games are more entertaining to watch. West Ham, Leeds and Watford matches were all decent viewing despite not winning. Didn’t see the Southampton game but 2-2, a last minute penalty sounds like it had drama. It’s not like we’re getting bored to ...

Re: The F1 Thread

Bottas starting at the back with Lecelrc and Max! Very clever from Merc tbf. Engine pen means Bottas can try and block verstappen.

Re: Match day thread - Watford v NUFC

Been in north Wales all day and not seen/heard anything other than the score.

What was the overall performance? Was it 5 at the back with Hayden again? Any positives?

Merson has predicted us to win <erk>
I’d be surprised if Merson knew which day of the week it was most of the time.

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread

<laugh> This is why I have never had any sympathy for a top level manager. It's the perfect job. You do well, you get well paid, fans love you, happy days. You do badly, you get well paid, fans don't like you but hey, you're a millionaire. You do very badly, you get fired (unless you're Steve Bruce)...

Re: Team for Watford

I wish we’d sold Schar and kept Lejuene who’s infinitely better I think. Every time I’ve seen Schar lately he’s seemed like a complete liability, much like most of the team I guess.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Messy house guests. Admittedly I don't like mess, it stresses me out, but some basic standards for some wouldn't go amiss. A mate of mine is staying for a few days, I had to go into his room earlier as that's where the home office that I work from is set up and the lazy bastard had left his wet towe...

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread

Roberto Martinez favourite if/when Koeman gets the boot. Speculation that long term assistant Graeme Jones would join him there. That would be a jump up for him haha. What's the point in going from Koeman to Martinez <laugh> Martinez falls into the Southgate bracket. Looks alright as a national tea...

Can’t say I’ve followed their issues that closely, but definitely thought he only got the job because of his Barcelona history, but that’s usually the way Barcelona have done things in the past.

I'm going controversial here and actually playing players in their preferred positions, which is crazy I know.
Willock is an attacking mid not a centre mid <erm>

If we play wingers, Fraser in with a shout?
In that case Almiron defo gets benched in favour of Willock <laugh>

Re: Team for Watford

Ah, Longstaff in CM then (who I thought looked okay in the second half especially against Leeds).

Please not <hendrick>
