Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Yeah I really don't care much either way on Gnonto.

I do think Elanga is a good player, if those rumours are true I'd rather have him.

Re: Southgate resigns, Howe linked with England job

I love Howe and hope he stays, he really gets the club and the fans. But he would be mad to turn down the chance to manage England when they have a realistic chance of winning a major tournament. To consider where he started with Bournemouth in League Two, to go on to manage England would be an incr...

Laughable that Lampard and Gerard are linked <laugh>
Maybe the way to get them to work together was as a coaching duo? <scratch>
Like the Chuckle Brothers, only less chuckles between the pair of them.

Re: Euro 2024 chat

Since Klopp wants a year out, and Pep has one more year of contract.. seems Potter would be the most sensible choice. He liked to attack as a manager Needs to be an Englishman. I think it kind of defeats the point when you bring in foreign managers at international level. I've never really got the ...

It will be Potter or Carsley

Howe has already said he wouldn't fancy it this early in his career.

Potter was turning jobs down left right and centre the last few months must have had some contact with FA imo

The reports of Klopp and Pep <laugh> <laugh>
Pure delusion <laugh>

I think they'll ask about Howe but can't see him being interested this early in his career.

I see Frank Lampard is linked too

Re: Euro 2024 chat

Yeah the subs he was looking to make at the end were very telling of his overall attitude- it wasn’t a “how can I win the game” move. Fair enough trippier was probably coming on for Shaw who hadn’t played much, but Gallagher was a total “sure things up” move. Carvajal has been a great player but he’...

Re: Euro 2024 chat

Probably the outcome we were all expecting last night. Spain worthy winners of a bang-average tournament. I’m just pleased we got our ‘moment’ with the Palmer equaliser, as sad as it sounds. I’m a Southgate apologist but I think he’s taken us as far as he can and it’s time he stepped down. I’ll be ...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Shifting players really helps if they are on big wages . Miggy, Dubravka will be to some extent. Lewis and Murphy I'd guess are cheap relatively speaking But makes it very difficult if the player isn't particularly good e.g. Hendrick was on over £50k a week but no Championship side would (understan...

Malick Thiaw from AC Milan I've heard alot of chat about Targett's wages will be a massive issue if we try to shift him. Can see him ...

Haha yes!

I think Gordon, Isak and Bruno stay this summer.

Next summer I think one of them is nailed to leave.
If I had to choose. It would be Bruno. He's a bit of a luxury player imo.
Much as we all love him, same.

It’s much harder to replace goals.

Gordon will at least be nice and fresh for us, or Liverpool <run> <roll>
I hope that's in jest. Because if we sell Gordon I'm done with this club.

Best team won. England were flattered by getting to the final in all honesty, didn't deserve to get that far.
Pretty much this. Given the draw, the minimum they’d be expected to do is get to the final.

A more progressive manager would give Palmer, Watkins, Gordon etc more mins.

England will be very happy to go in level - obviously been pretty conservative and Spain had most of the ball but no big chances.

It doesn’t feel like the same wave of optimism and euphoria as in 2021, tho as it’s not being played here that’s understandable. Wonder how many England fans will try to storm the stadium tonight?
