That was going to be a mighty lap by Max but he was always on the edge of disaster. Not sure if it was brave or stupid
Could have cost him the championship. Lewis has made mistakes too so a lot could still happen.

Ake on loan mooted. I honestly have no idea how good he is
Not very <laugh>

If I was to look at a realistic Man C loan signing I'd say Zinchenko as can play LB/LWB/CM.

Given the Mendy situation I doubt they'd let him leave unless they got someone in first.

Re: Seasons prospects

On paper it's definitely not as bad if we beat Burnley. The issue is that we then play Leicester, Liverpool, Man C and Man U so at best will get 2 points (if that). Typically we'll face Man U at home when they've got rid of Ole. If Burnley, Norwich, Watford pick up a win or two in that time then the...

Beat Burnley 5-0 at the weekend and we go above them. Just saying.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

With regards to delaying the project, pre-takeover we were all looking at a lifetime of no success, so if we get relegated and it adds 2-3 years to things then we're still quids in. Relegation also wouldn't stop any infrastructure development such as redoing the training ground and academy which are...

Sounds good to me, one of the worst things in modern F1 is tracks with massive run off areas IMO.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

Possibly. But we've also played every team in the bottom half of the league bar Burnley and Everton and not won a single one of them. I'm sure we will pull off the occasional shock win before the end of the season, but the pressure now on the players to win pretty much every single 'winnable' game i...

Re: January Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 21/22

With next season and likely relegation in mind, Eddie Nketiah wants to leave Arsenal. Would take him in January to get ready for next season.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

I think we are f***ed personally . Even if we win against Burnley , our run of fixtures in December will probably return 2-3 points max ( probably 0). We’ll be too far adrift by then . We’ll end up needing 10 wins from 19 games . I wonder what players will stick around in the championship . On a po...

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

Failing to beat Norwich at home is a fair reason to boo I’d say, regardless of new owners, managers, circumstances. Clutching at straws time, we’re 6 points behind Watford. Their next 2 games are Chelsea and Man City so if they get absolutely battered it can hurt their GD and if we beat Burnley then...

'Must-win game' gets used far too often but as others have said these next two will probably will make or break our season.

It's mad to think we could double this season's points tally by the end of the week.
You’re right, that was a mad thought <laugh>

Missed it <diva>

Why on Earth did Clark start over Fernandez? He’s been f***ing awful all season so I’m afraid that like Krafth playing v Arsenal that’s an error on Howe’s part.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

I think either him or Hayden needs to come in, a central midfield 2 of Willock and Shelvey doesn't work.

Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

This is undoubtedly the next in the series of 'must win' games that we've had recently, none of which we've won... A win for us will be a huge confidence boost and set us up nicely for Burnley, a loss/defeat will likely as good as condemn us to relegation (even at this stage of the season). If we ca...
