Re: Contract extension for Colo

If Mbemba takes a while to adjust (which there's always a big chance with a younger player coming from a lot worse league) we are in another relegation fight imo.

Our defense is that bad.

Re: McClaren gets the job? - NUFC.com

The thing that annoys me the most is the fact that Carver et al are all being kept on. He's clearly lost the respect of the players. If the club want to get the fans inside for this appointment they need to allow McClaren to come in and get rid of the coaches and brings his own people in, I think th...

Re: McClaren gets the job? - NUFC.com

Sacked by 4 clubs smaller club than own in a row (two being championship level) and rejects us twice. Yet he is still the top candidate. By the looks of it because he is free, will work with the current staff and won't demand much. This appointment tells you a hell of a lot more about the clubs ambi...

Re: Raylor and Jonas released

Imagine working for a company for 7 years then getting a call saying your contract won't be renewed whilst your on a course <laugh>.

They should have told them to their face before they left, thanked them for their service and then both parties move on, not exactly hard.

Re: Vieira set for talks over Newcastle head coach position

From a City fan I am a City fan who watches a lot of our youth games and have seen Vieira up close so thought I might drop in and give an opinion. The first thing to say is that players absolutely love him to bits and will run through walls for him. He is very good at managing the young players and ...

With Pardew and Wendy Taylor already leaving its starting to become like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Re: What should fans do in response to being asked to suppor

so if mike ashley is to sell, who's buying the expensive crisis club (he'll want his money back) that just got relegated and (will probably then have) lost loads of its players? i bet people will be lining up... You'd be surprised, you only have to look at the likes of Bournemouth, Cardiff and the ...

Re: What should fans do in response to being asked to suppor

I'm now at the stage where I don't mind either way. I'd rather we stay in the PL for obvious reasons, but if we go down, we 100% deserve it and it might shock Ashley in to selling. The Premier League isn't the be all and end all and nothing will change while Ashley is getting PL level exposure and h...

Re: An open letter from Coloccini

So the club stay quiet and we slag them off, they start making statements more often, in turn we slag them off. Colo never says anything so we slag him off, he releases a statement so everyone slags him off. <roll> This. Some people just try and find a way to moan about anything around here. Would ...

Re: An open letter from Coloccini

This comment I seen earlier pretty much sums it up to me. f*** them. It's emotional blackmail. Absolutely nothing will change if our fanbase show they can be bought off by being told that "it's your club" and that they need us, despite the fact that all the available evidence points to it being anyt...

Re: Who should replace Cardew as Newcastle Utd head coach?

<laugh> After 3/4 years of mistake after mistake, people are still trying to work out what will happen next by applying common sense.

With this board common sense is not a consideration, only what is cheapest in the short term.

Re: Spurs Boycott

I find it funny the fans who are attending because they have already given Ashley their money, and/ or they claim they are too loyal a supporter not to go. Yet there are season ticket holders (and fans who have bought tickets) boycotting who are willing to sacrifice their own hard earn money and mi...

Re: ashleyout.com

The actual protest will be a half arsed 'get out of our club' like it always is. At this point as B4E pointed out the timing is awful, we all knew our season was over when Pardew went, I'm no more down on the situation now than I was in January. As it stands we might get a decent manager in June an...

Re: ashleyout.com

My only issue is that it's rubbish (that graph...) and that it's utterly pointless, I don't oppose it in the slightest. If you're trying to start a campaign you do it through the supporters groups and you do it at the ground, Ashley isn't going to read a website and decide to sell up. I'm sure they...
