Re: Is there ANYTHING positive about NUFC ?

I'm personally glad we got the absolute stinker game out the way there. A decent team would have put four past us, we were awful. It is a game we would have targeted to win though, not unlike villa when we went down. Can't class it as a positive.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 14/17 SEPTEMBER 2018

Joe Hart had a good game. Wolves looked way better than us too. So called football experts seem to think they will finish top eight easy, so that's no surprise. They've done good business, have good backing, and have huge potential. They won't get relegated this season. Won't challenge the europe c...

Re: Best Newcastle squad

I was late to football entirely, and only started following Newcastle the season back in the prem after the first relegation. In my naivety I remember being really excited about Carroll, banging the goals in for years to come. I then followed that up by getting Cabaye on my first ever Newcastle shir...

And back to losing ways... <puke>
Bloke in my office is an Arsenal fan so we have a regular bet on the outcome of the game. Loser buys beers.
You're gonna get pissed for free this weekend then. <diva>

Apparently they will be using VAR at the five 3pn games tomorrow, ours included. Lawro has us down for a 2-1 win as well. Perfect storm for a schlacking

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 24/27 AUGUST 2018

Can't be long surely. Obviously been a lot of talk about getting Zidane in, but I don't think that's the right way to go. Lumped a fiver on Conte at 12/1. Dunno what went on at Chelsea, but he achieved a lot in his two years there. Think he's the perfect manager out of those avaliable to right the s...

Re: Other Clubs Transfers Summer 2018/19

Way before we even signed him used to love him, then we did that weird after 10pm transfer we did at the time, right out the blue. I remember I was watching a world cup game at the time and quite enjoying it when someone text me. Was over the moon. Just never quite worked out for him. Hope he does ...

His family have now come out to quash the rumours of the dog stating that it's not true and he is quitting due to marriage troubles..

But why was he having marriage troubles <scratch> <scratch> <scratch>
His wife is upset that we didn't sign Thorgan Hazard.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 17/20 AUGUST 2018

For me I think the biggest example of "got it wrong" was the Villa game when he first took over. But he had just took over, the man is brilliant but not a miracle worker. We were awful yesterday, and yes the buck rests at the manager - but the players were all crap, no one stood out as anything abov...

Re: Match day thread - Cardiff v NUFC

As Colly said, as he'd have been ineligible v Chelsea anyway there's a chance that he'll have a 3 game ban after the Chelsea game. That ineligibility isn’t set by the league though is it? Surely that’s an agreement between the two clubs? I think it's a league rule now that you can't play against yo...

Re: Match day thread - Cardiff v NUFC

I was in Seattle for the last derby game, I think it was about a 430am kick off as well. Went to the Sounders match the night before and was quite tanked up. Wasn't too happy about getting up, but at least we finally got a point <awe>
