Re: Plans for Next Season

Pretty much agree with all of that, although I'd probably prioritise wingbacks over Perez ever so slightly. I think he's been great and clearly there's a risk of him going, but it's a bigger risk of we don't buy a specialised lwb and upgrade rwb I think. As for the midfield, seeing a lot of stuff ab...

Re: Second best value player in squad

I went for Dubravka. He's had a couple of clangers but he's won a lot more than he's lost for us. Established as a top half keeper, vastly better than the options most of the clubs around us have.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

Atmosphere was f***ing class today btw Took my Mrs to her first Newcastle game vs Palace the other week, '' The Gateshead Hartlepool game was much better, this was slow boring s****'' <neg> Why couldn't I have taken her today? <neg> Love SJP when there is a bit of 'bite' to the game and atmosphere,...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

I'd love to know what happens at half-time because we now look a completely different team and it seems as if we're now going to sit back and let them come on to us. We're winning 2-0 and should now be trying to kill them off not letting them back into the game. Emiliano Sala's Invincible Hair came...

Just got home from work, will watch second half. Sounds like a good game. Other than perez, we playing well?
Best we've played this season.
I need to work when we play more often.

Re: Midweek Football 16-18 April

Cardiff win. 7 points (8 with goal difference) above the drop. Brighton are in freefall mind Huge result for Cardiff. They've not been getting results before that but seemingly playing well enough, clearly got fight in them. Brighton seem to be sleepwalking. One of those two now it seems. Cardiff s...

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

Leicester City completed 649 passes in this match, their highest total in a Premier League game since 2003-04 (when Opta began recording this data); indeed, three of their four highest successful pass tallies in this time in the division have been recorded in their six fixtures under Brendan Rodger...

Yep I think you're right. Perez had a good game but the other two are still handy. Watch Almiron do what he did last week now I've said that.
Miggy is going to score !
Nope :( Don't get Rafa's subs sometimes. And he clearly doesn't rate Muto.

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

I can't remeember who it was against, but when Schar had that game as CDM I thought he suited really well there. I'd like to see him there more often when everyone (Lejune) is fully fit. Not for me Clive. The way this formation works is that Schar and previously Lejeune too could get forward occasi...

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

I don't know whether this is also an issue in the UK tonight, but here in the US NBCSN is playing the Sky feed and the atmosphere audio sort of comes and goes from time to time (which is really annoying). That's interesting, I've noticed that too. I'm watching the sky feed on a dodgy stream, though...

Ayoze didn’t celebrate that much. Think he wants off in the summer. <urgh>
His usual celebration is a finger in the ears in reaction to the fans pelting him. Maybe it's a good thing that he didn't do it?

Ritchie's reaction at the celebration with Almiron for me say's there's not much in those rumours.

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

There's talk of a potential Ritchie plus cash deal for Ryan Fraser, which seems highly unlikely, but you may get your wish. We don't have anyone to play in that LWB position as it stands though. I know you're a fan of Dummett, and I like him too, in this formation he's better suited at LCB I think....

Re: Ashley “close to conceding defeat” re: selling the club

Again, clutching at straws, but if he's just lost a fair whack of money maybe he'll be more willing to sell off a small part of his sprawling empire <whistle>
