On loan, despite being avaliable for transfer. I'm more of the patient kind with this window, but we certainly shouldn't be loaning a fourth choice cb.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

That’s not what the protest or ‘movement’ means though I don't think it's unreasonable to presume that a football fan who gives up on supporting Newcastle then has to move on to supporting a different club. Anybody who can get that upset about football probably can't then go cold turkey and stop wa...

Sounds like Welbeck could be on his way out of Arsenal for around £15m, I'm not his biggest fan and have concerns about his injury record but that's a good price. It is about £15m more than we have to spend tho.
Get it done.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

https://twitter.com/SkySports_Keith/status/1020012206145130496?s=19 I know people will go wild but good business if he were to replace Mbemba. Obviously hope that the Mbemba money goes towards a quality striker and no.10. Interesting that if we signed him we'd be replacing Mbemba with the player Mb...

Re: First Singaporean player in PL to complete national service

Last time I was in Singapore a load of my mates students were undertaking the physical tests. Essentially if you ace it, your enlistment is reduced by two months so a load of 16 year olds are training constantly for 6 months to pass with merit. So they train for six months to get two months off? I ...

Re: Newcastle: The club where tomorrow never comes

He's not going anywhere. Ashley that is. If what he wants is to make money, that's the only way to get a return on his investment. You can't think he cares only about money and think he has no interest in selling - it's one or the other. Now he may have unreasonable expectations about what to sell ...

First Singaporean player in PL to complete national service

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-44843403 Found this quite an interesting read. Obviously national service isn't something as prevalent here in Europe, but seems to be more common in Asia. Seen a lot lately about Son from Spurs in particular, missing the first few games this season because of t...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

Origi is a load of s****, would almost rather Joselu. Rondon isn't spectacular but a solid enough signing. Wouldn't want either of them to be our starting striker though. Someone better and Rondon in, with Mitro and Gayle sold on. Send Joselu to the f***ing glue factory.

Re: Other Clubs Transfers Summer 2018/19

GK always struck me as the biggest market inefficiency. Other than the handful of most famous keepers, the rest always sell for really cheap compared to other positions. I suppose they're seen as the footballing equivalent to the drummer in a band... Rene Higuita looks like he was probably both

He also said its a case of when not if regarding a new striker. Whether that is Rondon or something more exciting, dunno. Rondon will be a solid signing but I still think we need a little more firepower.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

Team talk (yeah I know <roll> ) are claiming we have agreed to loan Rondon with a set fee of £15m for a permanent at the end of the season. Reasonable deal, would be quite happy with that - presuming we get a main striker in as well with the mitro money. I wonder if the permanent fee is dependent o...

Re: Thauvin Returns to Marseille (Done Deal)

He's a f***ing cronut. No doubt about it. A cowardly f***ing cronut. He might have a world.cup winners medal which he contributed nothing to but he was undeniably a waste of space here. Pathetic little cronut he was. Much more talented than I will ever be. Achieved a hell of a lot more than I proba...

Re: World Cup 2018 Match Thread

Oblak, De Gea, Cortouis - potentially Allisson and Ederson. Neuer obviously, although he's towards the end of his career now, same with Buffon. Ter Stegan as well maybe? There's some class keepers around now, but Lloris is definitely in the conversation for me. Was a bad error, not the worst we've ...

Re: Thauvin Returns to Marseille (Done Deal)

I mean, he clearly isn't. To re-interpret a little bit. He was clearly not a good signing for us. Almost identical to the Cabella signing, after the club had clearly written him off, yet dearer and with worse hair. Was never given a proper chance and clearly never wanted to be here. Whether he can ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

We cannot start the season with only Gayle and Joselu as our only options up front. I do like Gayle, but he's obviously limited at this level. I'd hapilly keep him for depth, but he does have some value to exploit. I was reluctant when we first signed him but he's an absolute king in the championshi...
