Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Yeah, name popped up a few times over the years. One of many never have's I guess.

Agreed though, without knowing the full story - seems a bit piss poor behaviour. <whistle>

Can you find the next Haaland with a Scottish granny please?
Why the next one? He should be tapping up the current one!
I think OT is thinking about the international future for his country, rather than for the toon with this one <laugh>

Re: Days lost through injury

We'd have the best squad cohesion in the league. (Because of all the glue).

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh

I genuinely think that if everyone was fit and available, we'd be more in this. Heavy favourites against still of course - best team in the world. We are missing our first choice goalkeeper and influential midfielder. I purposely phrase it that way, because same can be said of Man City. We are no wh...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Chelsea

Ahead of who though? While Southgate's selections absolutely need to be scrutinised if you look at vaguely similar positions I wouldn't put him ahead of Saka, Foden or Bellingham. Depends who we're playing I guess- but I could envisage an attacking 442 or 451 ....with Kane , Foden , Saka , Bellingh...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Chelsea

Also- if Southgate doesn't start Palmer in next England team- I'd say he's clueless & has to move on . The kid is class and looks better every week Ahead of who though? Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Yeah, if Joelinton does sign it's excellent news. I was almost resigned to him having played his last game. We've sorely missed his presence in the midfield these last few weeks/months with him out.

Winnable competition, valuable coefficient points up for grabs, less strenuous than the CL and a good cup run can do wonders for confidence.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

I still think there's something to how many games he has to play before a permanent move is obligatory, but we won't realistically find out until summer. I don't really see how we're owed an explanation either, should we suddenly really need him it doesn't go well if Howe's already come out and sai...

Re: Days lost through injury

Fully agree with both, I don't get this idea of thumbing our nose at anything that's not champions league. We aren't there yet. The squad as a whole will massively benefit from further European experience. We've struggled massively this season (obviously the tough draws have an effect) due to having...

They did give away a two nil lead before the winner, mind

Could do with another west ham goal ideally
goal against west ham you mean?
or do you just hate everton? <laugh>

The latter <laugh> I realise west ham are on our necks, but if we focus on our games we should pull clear. Less points for Everton the better.

Re: Days lost through injury

Probably to artificially augment Man U's position. If done in days lost then Brentford would be second, with Chelsea and Sheffield United making up the top five

Offered to buy MiniOT a kit and she thought she was being punished.

MrsOT has ruined her

Mind, she does like F1 (massive crush on Lando) which gives me something sporting to do with her so all good!
Calrissian? I don't follow F1 if that's not clear haha <laugh>

So it seems we just have to get out there, **** about a bit, have a go and see how that goes vs Man City.

Pretty sure Howe will be more convincing.
Didn't Bruce say something similar when Willock starting his goal scoring run of form his loan season?
