Re: Lewis Hall
Hall is a classic example of what Newcastle in general are going forward. To me it’s a very solid positive illustration of our work. We are a work in progress , we have a plan and we need to develop under expert coaching. Irrespective of what happens on Sunday we are heading in the right direction,...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U
Once again serving up a big pile of dog s***. If we could learn to not s*** our pants every other game we probably could have had CL again next season. Tbf without the biblical level of injuries/unavailable players and terrible luck with cup drawers we'd have had a strong chance at top four again. ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U
Some god awful passes in the final third already, Anderson and Longstaff can't be amongst our first 11 next season. Composure is horrendous. To be fair, they wouldn't be this season if everyone was fit/not banned. Rotation players for sure, and Anderson has shown glimpses of quality. Longstaff is l...

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)
Got to love the post Sir Fergie man u's ability to ruin good footballers. Casemiro was almost the Rodri a few years back. World class holding midfielder anyway.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Craig Hope reporting we are now favorites to sign Tosin. If we do get him and Kelly wrapped up very soon that is a great start to the summer. Can then fully focus on getting a couple of quality players in for pre season. I've seen a lot of t*** on social media moaning about it, more so Kelly tbf, b...

Re: Weekend football - 2/6 May 2024
I'm pretty sure that Man City not winning the cup will negatively effect us in terms of european places. If we finish 5th, it's moot. But whilst we are in good form and Spurs are not, it's still moot. And they have the Sheffield voucher left to cash. I'll eat my hat if we finish 5th. And I hate eat...

Re: Weekend football - 2/6 May 2024
They could be 5 points behind us by that point with any luck. I'm still just s***ting it that they somehow beat City in the cup. I want them to win it... If that means another season of ETH for them I'm pretty sure that Man City not winning the cup will negatively effect us in terms of european pla...

Four nil, f***ing hell I know we lost to Palace, they aren't s****. But christ almighty Man U are f***ing awful. If we lose to them in the next couple of games, it's all on us.

Agreed, but I don't know why - to the all in favour of Dortmund point. Because they feel less Evil Empire than the alternative?

Re: Football Titbits
That sounds like a laugh tbf They were buying me beer or a shot about every 15 minutes so by the time we started playing Bingo I was far too gone to pay attention and mark my cards in front of me so two lovely OAPs had to help me out. One of them prodded me to say I'd won and I stood up, shouted Bi...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo on free transfers apparently near to done deals Will still probably get judged on Hazard though <gent> Always appreciate your insight, regardless if it turns out to be bollocks <laugh> It's a point of view that I'm sure isn't shared by the vast majority of people on...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
For all those pointing out we need a CB, obviously true and Don did address that in his post - with the potential free signings of Kelly and Adabariyo filling that position with a minimal impact on PSR. I don't think we will sell Lascelles this summer with that injury, but the rest we will surely be...

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as gardening director
What's changed this past week? I kinda figured we were in the quiet gardening leave phase. And meh, dude took what I assume is a higher paying job at a bigger club - having spent more than a year in his current role. Doesn't strike me as worth getting wound up about - it's just a job after all, as ...

The pitch seems in quite poor condition, relatively speaking for an establish premier league team.

Absofuckinglutely. In fact I think it's generous to call them hipsters.
