Re: Match thread - Everton v NUFC

What the **** hahahah Serves me right for turning off Wow. I turned off straight after that second goal and I missed this. Football is a funny ol' game. What a amazing, astonishing, tremendous and breathtaking point. Will give us the world of confidence. Unbeaten in 5 now. Stevie Brucie's Toon Army...

Re: Match thread - Everton v NUFC

Awful all round. Just gutless, no real spine or organisation. Poor.. piss poor. Game over. Need a tremendous performance and 3 points against Norwich to make up for this. Joelinton isn't good enough as much as he's ''trying'' the quality simply isn't there, he's looking morel ike a £4 million player...

Re: Match thread - Everton v NUFC

Longstaff brothers shouldn't play together. Matty needs to come off now. Having a shocker . Constantly being caught out of position and giving possession away This. Having a 'mare but Joelinton and Atsu haven't really much better either in attack they've been dreadful, Miggy's doing all the work, p...

That bench looks <yikes> . We have like 4 defenders in there.. wasn't there space for another attacker / midfielder like Ki / Muto??? Good to see the youngsters get a look in like Liam Gibson and Tom Allan. <ok>

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

Rose is very much a defensively minded LB, rather than a wing back. And I don't think we can afford to be even less attacking Is he really? Can't he do both offensively and defensively at the same time? When I've seen him play he does tend to get forward a bit can defend too. Plus in his younger da...

Re: Done Deal: Nabil Bentaleb

Don't understand this. We've already got Shelvey, Hayden, Ki & 2 x Longstaffs as CM. Unless we're making a conscious effort to stop Matty & Sean develop?! Different type of players. But where the Schalke midfielder shines the most is with his attacking play. A box to box midfielder who is technical...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

Being linked with a loan move for Danny Rose That would be a good loan signing imo. Talented, experienced, but probably not a long term solution. This. Would have him in a heartbeat. Then come summer we can re-evaluate Willems situation and see if Rose impresses then potentially we'll have to pick ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

Newcastle are closing in on the signing of Nabil Bentaleb on an initial loan deal from Schalke. The loan deal will be worth around €1m (£851,405) and Newcastle will pay all his wages, which is around €2.5m (£2.1m), for six months. There will be an option to buy in the summer for around €10m (£8.9m)....

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

This. Maybe the Shelvey / Hayden to ''West Ham'' rumors could have some substance of truth now? I remember Nabil doing quite well at Spurs when Sherwood first introduced him to the team and then he was a regular in Pochetino's first season were they ended 5th. Was impressive but then he got injured...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

He's a decent player, but very interesting in terms of him being a centre mid, unless someone is leaving from that area. This. Maybe the Shelvey / Hayden to ''West Ham'' rumors could have some substance of truth now? I remember Nabil doing quite well at Spurs when Sherwood first introduced him to t...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

With Hayden, Shelvey, the Longstaffs I don’t think CM is a priority. This. Lazaro coming in should mean the RWB/RW positions are covered and puts Atsu further than the pecking order. Lazaro will be a good option to have of the bench instead of him, give some competition to Miggy/ASM. Bowen would be...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Winter 2020)

Ricardo Horta 25 yr old Portugese winger from Braga linked.. apparently £10mil is enough to secure him. Could be our Bernado Silva-lite ? Wylan Cyprien from Nice another been linked for £20mil and Lucas Biglia is being offered to couple of clubs in the Premier League including us but personally I wo...

Re: Match thread TOON v Rochdale

Darlow
Kraft Lascelles Lejune
Ritchie Hayden Longstaff Longstaff Atsu
Miggy Joelinton

Possible 3-5-2 / 3-5-1-1 OR a 4-4-3 with Miggy / Atsu outwide supporting Joelinton.. either way one of the strongest line-ups we could have put out.

1-3 Wolves. Joelinton to score a screamer but Jimenez to bag a brace and Traore to run us ragged ending in him providing an assist and goal. You heard it here first. <diva>

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Everton

Positives: Carroll did alright, as did Joelinton. Negatives: Everything else. This. Defending was woeful most of the time. See us getting thumped by Leicester because if we can't contain Everton's forwards imagine what Vardy, Maddison and co will do. <erk> Perez to score first. Bet on it. <diva> <s...

Re: Match day thread - MUFC v UNITED

Willems having a f***ing shocker today . Wan Bissaka is tying him in knots This. Our centre-halfs looking wobbly today aswell dunno weather it's fatigue or the Merry Christmas hangover. Gayle is terrible. Missed a sitter and be utterly anonymous. Matty Longstaff and Joelinton have been our best pla...

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON

Looks like ASM got injured at the end there. My lineup for next week, assuming he’s injured: Dubravka Schär Fernandez Dummett Manquillo Longstaff Shelvey Hayden Willems Almiron Carroll Could alternatively play Joelinton as a winger and direct replacement for ASM with Carroll through the middle. But...

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON

Shelvey back to being a lazy useless s****, sitting too deep with his back to goal. Need someone willing to carry the ball forward in midfield and run off the striker. This. Need more mobility, drive and energy in that midfield. Days like this Shelvey should have just sat out or being benched for o...

Re: Match day thread - Sheff Utd v NUFC

It wasn’t that different to a lot of our wins under Rafa, I don’t mind how the 3 points come to be honest. They had lots of possession but we closed down well when it mattered, Dubravka also made a few very good saves. The league is tight but with good players to come back into the side we’ll pick ...
