Went out today to get the weekly groceries. Looks like business as normal.

I think half a million will be dead here within the next 6 weeks.
That would require something like 25 million to be infected within the next 3 weeks... seems like a lot

Re: Coronavirus

I know, it’s like where the hell has peoples common sense gone? I know if I got it I’d be fine as I’m young (relatively) and healthy, but I’m hardly going to go and play football in the park or something and risk spreading it to someone who could then infect someone vulnerable. It’s so bloody annoy...

After a traumatic 24 hours managed to get married with a very very (6 people) small ceremony. Weird that our first months married will be me at work as she loses her mind at home but I've never been so happy all things considered <laugh>

What was the final result? I turned off after half an hour. No idea why they dug around the archives to stream a game we got battered in <erk>
Lost 5-0. Quiet second half, Diaby got one in the 85th minute.
Not a bad result considering the start I suppose <ok>

Re: Pavel's eBar

Trying to be optimistic and probably being wrong, but it could be the number of deaths in Italy and Spain is because it’s more common for older generations to live with younger family members so it spread easier? Whereas in the UK it’s rarer for the grandparents to live with the family. Good point....

Re: Pavel's eBar

The countries we have the most data from currently are China, Italy and Spain. China has a mortality rate of 4.5% for proven cases. Italy has a rate of at least 8.6% and Spain has a rate of at least 5%. But like you said, the question is how many people have it and haven’t been tested? It’s not an ...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Mortality rate needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, we dont know how many people are infected, so how can we accurately calculate the mortality rate, we can only calculate that from known cases, there could be thousands out there going undiagnosed and coping pretty well. Covid is a concern and w...

My work closed with people to work from home from tomorrow until 1st June at the earliest.
That is a very long period! I’m interested to see how many companies reduce their office space and put people on rotating home-office cycles after this to help them save on rent costs etc.

MiniOT has a skiing trip in Switzerland with the school at the start of April and we're wondering now if it will go ahead. We'll be out of pocket unless the FCO advises against travel to Switzerland!!! All my friends working as ski instructors in the French Alps are getting sent home next week so I...

Re: Dubravka out for at least a month

In fairness to Darlow we'd struggle to get anyone significantly better to be number two behind Dubravka. After the relatively injury prone number ones we've had in the last few years, I found it surprising that Dubravka hadn't missed a prem game since his debut. Having watched Adrian over the last ...

FFS. I hope this doesn’t mean Elliot in goal in the cup games, since he hasn’t played a competitive game in two years. Considering we’re already more or less safe I hope he just “risks” playing Darlow in league and cup

Re: REMAINING FIXTURES - WORRIED OR NOT?

I am now officially no longer nervous. We'd have to lose every single game for us to go down now. I reckon 37 points sees you stay up this season so one more win should do it. Time to focus on the cup!
