Re: Mikel Merino: 'I am who I am because of the Premier League'

He’s basically the player we’re missing at the minute. Had his off days but generally our best CM when he was here. Disappointed we lost home but he does well. Nice that he remembers his time here fondly

I'll tune in until we have our first attempt on target and then I'll do something more productive.
Watching the full game then I see.

Re: Steve Bruce: The Gloves are off

How’s the bacon did ye say? Seems like he’s in the middle of trying to save his own. Such a blatant deflection of criticism onto the players. Poor tactic from him. I’d say, unless something revolutionary goes on behind the scenes which also results in results on the pitch, he has 3-5 games. Those ar...

Lewis was rattled with that early coming together with Furlong. Kept trying to play the man and not the ball after that. Also, is he naturally right footed?
I would imagine left footed based on his attempted clearance for their goal

Re: Premier League going Pay-Per-View, £15/game

Has season ticket money gone out? Given clubs don’t have a clue what’s happening I’d have thought they haven’t sorted season tickets for this year yet. But I’m not a ST holder so could be wrong. Believe Ashley took payments like usual. I’d assume it would be refunded at the end of the season but un...

Re: Premier League going Pay-Per-View, £15/game

So currently some Newcastle fans might be paying circa £60 to watch a game on TV? £25 season ticket price per game + £20 for sky sports + £15 for PPV. Insanity

Re: VAR and the latest handball rules

Think they should at the least add a clause that it should only be a penalty if the arm blocks the ball from going at goal/to an attacking player. Seems ridiculous that a ball could be destined to hit a defender in the hip but because their arm is outstretched it hits that first and so would be a pe...

Re: Matchday Thread: Spurs v Newcastle

https://i.imgur.com/UDTb0Nd.png At this rate it'll only take us another 11.5 halves to deserve a goal according to our lord and saviour xG <awe> Think we had the exact same XG first half last week. I know it’s not the ultimate stat but XG of under 0.1 for two first halves in a row is atrocious.
