Two goals from Schar have moved him to joint third highest scorer in the league for us this season.

He's level with Joselu and Perez.

Re: Match day thread: Chelsea v Newcastle (Sat, 5.30pm)

Now that I look at it again with a more critical eye it does look like some producer is cutting it. Looks like an earlier corner or something. Didn't watch the game or coverage but by what I'm reading I think it might have been Rio and Keys in the editing room. I do hope your being facetious.

Re: Match day thread: Chelsea v Newcastle (Sat, 5.30pm)

The goal goes in and everyone is cheering, except Rafa who genuinely looks pissed off. Dont know if it was because of the corner routine or because he wants us to lose to prove him right? Either way, he lost a huge amount of credibility in my eyes. 7:23 mins in https://youtu.be/8vw10LerWeo?t=443 Wh...

Re: Match day thread: Chelsea v Newcastle (Sat, 5.30pm)

I must admit im a little concerned about Rafas reaction to the goal. Does having his own way really matter more to him than scoring a goal? thats f***ing nuts. Haven't seen it, what does he do? Surely he's not in a huff because we didn't play the corner short? The goal goes in and everyone is cheer...

Re: Match day thread: Chelsea v Newcastle (Sat, 5.30pm)

How far we have fallen since the days when Glenn Roeder managed us through a genuine injury crisis and we went up against champions elect Chelsea with Clarence Acuna and an almost totally unheard of Jamie McClenn as a CM pairing, amongst numerous other forced changes, and gained a well earned draw....

Re: Match day thread: Chelsea v Newcastle (Sat, 5.30pm)

I'll be very happy with a defeat by 2 goals or less. A point would be a phenomenal result but with all the injuries we've got it's unrealistic. Personally I’d be delighted with a loss of less than 4 goals. I’ll barely be able to contain myself with excitement if we keep the loss down to just 1. It’...

Diame should be fit tomorrow, although we might as well keep him fresh for Cardiff and not bother playing him.
Diame?! Well win now for sure....
