Re: The Message of Awe Thread

When online shopping substitutions go in your favor, had a delivery from asda today and they didnt have the 170g haribo selection boxes in stock so they replaced it with a 700g tub for the same price, the driver was like "if you are not happy with the substitution let me know and i can take it back ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

MLS owners need to be careful, in the world of football they are a tiny presence, it's great they are getting some good players in to the league but how long will it last if clubs hold out for stupid fees, most in South America will want a stepping stone to European clubs and if they try to play har...

FYI a representative of Mike Ashley was at the MLS final last night.

Take that as either a scouting operation, finalising Almiron deal or perhaps negotiating a sale of the club
Let me guess, he was taking in a game with Thorgan Hazard <wenger>

Re: Match day - NUFC v Wolves ( 4pm live on Sky )

Schar back in for Lascelles next game, he was s**** today full of mistakes and was quick to pass the blame for their first, Perez needs to be elbowed in the face more often as he actually played alright after that. that last goal though was absolutely shocking defending, looked like a bunch of fanni...

Re: Match day - NUFC v Wolves ( 4pm live on Sky )

We desperately need to upgrade on Atsu and Perez in January, do that and we can put out a really good 11. Also I forgot Wolves have Dendoncker, dunno what happened with him although reading up on it some wolves fans think he wasnt the manager's choice and with the way wolves seem to run closely with...

Re: Match day - NUFC v Wolves ( 4pm live on Sky )

I'm going for a win, like BB said, they don't perform as well when you press their center mid and cut off space and think that's exactly how we will get at them today, we just need to take our chances and we will be alright.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

Although I'm happy it seems like we might be signing someone decent, I often think that international goals-per-games give a better view of how a player will fair with scoring in the Prem when coming from a lower standard league. Obviously it's not everything and there's exceptions but 0 in 12 for ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

MLS is getting to a decent standard and Almiron is seen as one of the better players, also not that it means anything but he's only really behind Zlatan, Rooney, Martinez (his Atalanta teammate) in merch sales, so it's a very popular player.

Re: Sky: Peter Kenyon in talks about taking over NUFC

Been thinking about this today, Ashley has made everyone so sceptical over the years, but surely it would be against his interests to **** around so publicly, he needs to come across as a professional businessman when talking like this as it could impact peoples willingness to do business with him. ...

Re: Sky: Peter Kenyon in talks about taking over NUFC

The thing that makes me think that there could be something in this is that he seems very focused on house of Fraser and might not want the distraction of us / want more funds towards that. Also it's been very quiet and come out of nowhere, hich a few of us have said it's how we think a takeover wi...

Re: Has Ashley lowered his asking price for NUFC to £300m?

He seems very similar in wealth to Ashley, the big difference is he does seem to be a big sporting person with a focus on fan participation, it doesn't seem like it would be a game changer for us but looks like we would at least be more competitive.

Re: Has Ashley lowered his asking price for NUFC to £300m?

I have a feeling nothing will come of this. Call it a hunch. Apparently potential buyer is the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. He also owns Atlanta United whom Miguel Almiron plays for and we’ve been heavily linked with so I’ve now decided that a takeover is definitely happening this time...
