Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

We were clearly told we'd hear the last post, then the ref would blow his whistle to start the minute silence, then another to end it. What actually happened was the last post, then an inexplicable round of applause from some fuckwits, then the refs whistle triggered another load of fuckwits to ass...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

Rafa was cautious but effective as our manager, the one negative in hindsight is that he convinced us that his way was the only way for us to survive, he downplayed our quality/players far too much which in turn made himself look godlike. Still he did a fantastic job for us in tough circumstances. ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

Bruce is genuinely better than Rafa. Rafa was cautious but effective as our manager, the one negative in hindsight is that he convinced us that his way was the only way for us to survive, he downplayed our quality/players far too much which in turn made himself look godlike. Still he did a fantasti...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

That Wilson push is really bugging me, the other day they were saying Son got a red card because he put Gomes in danger, so why isn't the Wilson push a yellow, in a way it's worse than what happened with Son as Wilson has done that deliberately, officiating in this league is an absolute mess and som...

Re: Jetro Willems available for 10 million

I'm curious as to what's going to happen when Ritchie is back, I hope he's switched to RWB, if he can replicate his LWB performances there then I'm really happy with our defence, especially with Lejeune close to coming back too, looking forward to seeing them spraying some balls into the front 3 on ...

Re: Match thread - West Ham v NUFC

With ASM let's not forget he's only had a handful of games for us in a new league for him and already some top PL players have been torn apart by his pace and dribbling, he's settling in quick and once he gets used to the Premier League I'd expect him to only get better. Almiron I thought had a grea...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC vs Wolves

Someone really needs to explain what we were doing after the sending off. Take off the target man for a player whose sole skill is hitting a target man, then haul off the other centre midfielder for a winger. Add to that the bizarre bit of play where Clark made a lung bursting run up the left wing ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC vs Wolves

We need to have more confidence in ourselves, played far too many long balls beginning of the second half and let them back in and invited the pressure, shame it took conceding to get us to play it on the floor again but when we did we looked decent again, red for Longstaff was very harsh imo, won t...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC vs Wolves

Starting to think that some on here want us to fail, good first half against a top team, threatened them a lot and scored a good goal, yet it's all negative. They've been s**** though. Apart from last 10 mins we've been slow , indesicive and wasted what good opportunities we've created I 100% disag...

Re: Match day thread - Chelsea v NUFC

Not directed at anyone in particular on here I just find match threads annoying because of the over the top negativity, it's not just here though there is a lot of toxic fans online these days and to be honest it takes the fun out of supporting us more than a poor performance does, so when a game is...

Re: EURO 2020

Media have been bigging up the potential for racist chanting all last week then it happens and they act all shocked and appauled by it like its come completely out of the blue, they are getting far too much enjoyment out of this and it kinda makes a mockery of fighting racism when you just feel like...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v MUFC

I thought ASM was decent today as well. Yes he looks a bit headless chicken at times but he undoubtedly puts defenders on edge. And he has already delivered at least one more assist than Almiron has managed, so why is he getting stick and not Almiron? Funny thing is it was Almiron who dribbled the ...

Re: Peter Kenyon launches new £300m bid to buy NUFC

Saw this breaking last night, still haven't bothered to read a word about what's going on, I'm just treating it with the contempt it deserves tbh. my interest will only be piqued when I see a sale completed headline.

Re: Carroll out for the season

Think the OP is very misleading, the view is he's not going to be able to start games with a view to playing 90 minutes, which is something that has never been expected, he is never going to be anything more than an impact sub for the rest of his career so this isn't really news, let alone bad news.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v BHA

Well that was awful, fully on the players this, again not looking arsed at all. Also I heard fans were booing as the team arrived at the players entrance too, not making excuses for them but is that really going fire you up for a game, I can see why some wouldn't be up for it if that's the case, sti...
