Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

I think it's reasonable for us to expect to push on to be a top half team so the question for me is, is Ritchie good enough to be in a team that is going to push to be around top 8? if we are going to settle for a few places above the drop then fair enough, but if we are going to be serious about pu...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

We are f***ing stupid if we let Ritchie go in summer. He brings a lot of workrate and commitment to the team but feel he's really lacked in technical quality, honestly think he's the sort we should be looking at replacing if we are wanting to improve, ideally it would be nice to have him as a squad...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

This half of the season is the best ive seen Perez for us, hes showing the glimpses of brilliance we saw he was capable of when he first arrived, i think Rondon and Almiron have taken a lot off his shoulders allowing him a bit more freedom and confidence. Just need to bring in more quality to elevat...

Apparently Joey Barton attacked the Barnsley manager in the tunnel after their game today.

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

Leicester City completed 649 passes in this match, their highest total in a Premier League game since 2003-04 (when Opta began recording this data); indeed, three of their four highest successful pass tallies in this time in the division have been recorded in their six fixtures under Brendan Rodger...

Re: Match thread FNF live - Leicester v NUFC

Perez was great, but I still find myself getting really frustrated with him, it's the way he can switch from brilliant to awful in games, he will do something great in a position where we don't get loads of advantage from it but puts us in a good position, then he will be really sloppy when doing si...

Re: Rondon or Mitrovic

I think it says a lot that age is the only thing going for Mitro in the comparisons.

Rondon is the better player, he does everything better, scoring, assisting, hold up, workrate, has more footballing intelligence and isn't a t***.

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Crystal Palace

Rafa just isnt ruthless enough with these players, id start next week with Rondon, Ritchie, Yedlin on the bench, form over the last few games has been sub-par, if you are not at your best then you shouldn't play, we need to start giving others more chances to freshen up the team and give some of the...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Crystal Palace

Yedlin clearly to blame but Almiron needs to learn just to release the ball sometimes, we had a good chance of a counter and instead he pissed about with it, lost it, they sprint up the pitch and win a penalty. Hopefully learned a lesson there. Almiron is being forced too deep too often, its been h...

Mike Dean epitomises the Premier League, protecting the brand and its entertainment comes before the sport itself.

Re: Match day - Arsenal v TOON

I think people read too much into this kind of thing. Naturally there will be players in the squad who don't get on perhaps (we've all got colleagues that we don't like, football will be no different) but I very much doubt that many consciously avoid passing to a certain teammate in the heat of a g...

Re: Match day - Arsenal v TOON

A lot of talk today about Ritchie and Almiron, most accusing Ritchie of ignoring Almiron. This is something I picked up on his first start, he makes great runs and makes himself space and Ritchie always turns away from him, apparently Rafa was asked about it after the match too. I did notice in Migg...

Re: Match day - Arsenal v TOON

I wouldn’t say any defeat is meaningless when you’re fighting relegation. If we play like this the rest of the season we won’t pick up any more points. This has been pathetic and it’s showing a massive lack of respect to the fans when they clearly turn up playing like they’ve lost from the start. A...
