Re: Match day thread - NUFC v West Ham

Felt like a no risks approach to the end of that, frustrating but with the quick turn around of games probably sensible, draw is a good result still, probably could have taken all 3 but probably wasn't worth it all things considered. We looked tired, wouldn't mind us just resting players for city an...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v West Ham

Honestly dont understand this this Joelinton hate, he's played pretty well yet still getting slated. Just get off his back ffs, people go on like they personally paid £40m for him.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v West Ham

Poor from Lascelles for their goal, but I think we have looked really good, even at 1-0 down I was really confident we would get back into it before half time, cracking equaliser too. Feel sorry for Bruce, he's still getting stick yet atm we are playing some of the nicest football we have seen in ye...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v West Ham

Id like to see Joelinton up top more with this new formation, want to see what he can do with 3 advanced players in behind him.

Swap out Gayle for Lazaro.
Lazaro------Almiron------- ASM

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v West Ham

Would anyone rest ASM today, hes played the majority of every game and before bournemouth there were concerns he was starting to get tired with the quick turnaround of games. I'd probably not take the risk and start lazaro over him today.

Re: What's the verdict on VAR?

Nothing wrong with the tech its the implementation, I find it an absolute disgrace the PGMOL had to literally be told they were using it wrong, it's pure arrogance from them and Mike Riley. Also the fact they carried on misusing it after the fact is unforgivable, imo. They all need retraining and be...

Re: Importance of ASM

The lad has all the attributes to be world class. I think bruce has done a good job with him, seems to have instilled a greater sense of teamwork in him. When he first came there was a lot of criticism of him dribbling to nowhere ad lacking the final ball. He now seems so much more aware of play an...

Re: Match day thread - Bournemouth v NUFC

Shelvey has been a necessary (dr.)evil for us over the past few years, he's far too self centred on the pitch to play for a top 6 club. When he has a good game he can be a game changer, but when he doesn't he's a complete liability. I hate how every ball has to be a hollywood ball from him. If this...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

I think nearly every "issue" has already been answered by other acquisitions, if you fail the takeover on any of the issues raised then PIF can point to many other owners. I honestly think the process has been a disgrace and I highly doubt they have followed their own protocols. I think outside infl...

Re: Match day thread - Bournemouth v NUFC

We seem to be playing with so much confidence at the moment. I dont really want to bring Rafa up but I think it's a good comparison atm, i don't see us playing like we did yesterday under Rafa, we would have probably tried to see out a 2-0. I think Bruce gives the players more confidence and belief ...

Re: Match day thread - Bournemouth v NUFC

I do like Lazaro, I just don't know if he's best played as a winger in this league, just seems like he needs a little extra pace to be effective. Wouldn't mind seeing him trialled as a 10, was a decent finish and run for his goal and he never looked like missing, could be a bit like Wijnaldum was fo...

Re: Match day thread - Bournemouth v NUFC

Shelvey is so s***. Keeps running forward despite being too slow to get on the end of anything then is a greedy prick when he does get near the box. See him complaining at Miggy for the good through ball, because he didn't put back spin on for his slow arse. He's far too slow to play in CAM. Hopefu...
