Re: The winter 2021/22 Covid football thread

I may be a bit cynical but I'd imagine at least half of those weren't double vaccinated. I just find it difficult to believe that every precaution was taken yet 8 cases still happened.

Re: The winter 2021/22 Covid football thread

I hope it gets refused, teams shouldn't be having such large outbreaks at this point, we pretty much know how all these variants spread, I can understand maybe 1 or 2 but to have 8 just tells me they haven't taken every precaution they could to prevent this. Should be made to play youth players or f...

Norway transfered their yearly christmas tree to England...

It's getting embarrassing atm, but they send it to London so as a Newcastle fan I can see the humour <laugh>
They literally shipped out their dead wood

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Burnley ( must must win )

If I was to reluctantly delve into some of the negatives from yesterday, Id point to Willock and Almiron not being up to expected standards, I wouldn't go as far to say they should be dropped but I think they could offer more, But I'm willing to wait to see improvement from them. Miggy I think lacks...

Re: January Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 21/22

Also getting linked with Renato Sanches today, he's supposedly playing really well these days but knowing our luck if we signed him we would get the Swansea version 😂

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Burnley ( must must win )

Came on to have a dig at Bruce regarding whatever he was doing in training and seen I've been beaten to it <laugh> Fitness levels are night and day, Joelinton once again one of our best players, I noticed him running around in extra time like it was the first minute. I'm glad he's finally getting fa...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Burnley ( must must win )

It's great how 3 points makes the rest of the seasons fixtures far less scary. Hope we can pick up a few more points before January, I think 4 is doable, Leicester next week is a big opportunity imo, not at their best at all right now.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC V Burnley ( must must win )

I hope we stick to the back line from the Norwich game, think it's our best line and also looked the safest line we have had for a few weeks. I am a little worried that Ritchie and Lascelles will walk straight back in though. Willock and Almiron coming off the bench in the second half to give us som...

Re: January Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 21/22

The Times are reporting that Lingard is one of our main targets for January. I think he's just the sort of level we need right now, improves us going forward but could be improved upon in a few years if needed.

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

I'm still keeping the faith, talk of needed points totals is irrelevant as there is no set number. My view is that we just need to keep in touching distance of the rest come January, we don't know what our recruitment will be, the thing is, if we do recruit well then the pool of beatable teams will ...

Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Norwich

At this point I'd rather see our youth CBs step up then ever see Lascelles or Clark in a Newcastle shirt ever again. Absolute embarrassment.

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle

Like I say it would be a left field option, but choice is severely limited and I don't think anyone could do a worse job than the current captain.
