Re: Match thread - Leicester v NUFC

If 40,000 turn up to the Man Utd game after that debacle then I really don't know what the fans are doing anymore. Worst performance, tactically, I can possibly ever remember us putting in. I've only watched two games this season. Last week and this. I didn't think it could get worse than last week ...

Re: Ashley Agrees to Sell Newcastle for £350m!

Tweet from their supposed lawyer who has been providing most of the information. Not going to lie, this lot are losing more credibility by the day.

Re: Ashley Agrees to Sell Newcastle for £350m!

The club really should release a statement at this point. They are the only ones who can confirm what the **** is going on.

Re: Ashley Agrees to Sell Newcastle for £350m!

It's going to be vomit inducing if (when) this falls through and the journalists are all tripping over each other to go 'I TOLD YOU SO!!!' Even though it's abundantly clear at this stage they're all just pissing in the dark.

Twitter has been an absolute cesspool the last two days.

Re: Ashley Agrees to Sell Newcastle for £350m!

As I said earlier, nobody has a clue, this latest tweet by Downie is further proof of that. After the Kenyon fiasco Ashley explicitly said he would be asking for proof of funds first. Which either means this is still in it's very early stages, or everybody has just jumped the gun (shock) as usual wh...

Re: Ashley Agrees to Sell Newcastle for £350m!

Basically nobody has a f***ing clue. I see one tweet saying it's done, another four saying it isn't, then someone from Abu Dhabi pops up saying it's all but confirmed. If I had to take a punt, I would anticipate they've been in talks, the Sun have gotten wind of it and printed that story and exagger...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Southampton

I don't get how we can play so well in the first half then totally fall to pieces in the second half.

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Crystal Palace

Today was one of those days. Rondon buries those 2 chances in the first half, we're 2-0 up and the way Palace were playing I don't think they'd have gotten back in the game. Palace gambled on keeping us out and nicking one on the counter, and unfortunately it worked, more due to a few individual off...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Crystal Palace

Realistically, we need 3 points from the last 5 games. Even 2 would be enough really and possibly even 1.

As s*** as we've been over the last couple of games I can't see us ending the season with 7 straight losses, we'll pick up a win somewhere. We'll be fine.

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Crystal Palace

Yedlin clearly to blame but Almiron needs to learn just to release the ball sometimes, we had a good chance of a counter and instead he pissed about with it, lost it, they sprint up the pitch and win a penalty. Hopefully learned a lesson there.

Re: Schaer injured

There should be an independent doctor at each game aswell in my opinion, who has the final say on whether a player comes off or not in the event of a head injury. Decisions surrounding head injuries should not be left up to a manager who has no medical expertise and can only see the benefit of the p...

Re: Schaer injured

You should be allowed a free substitution if one of your players gets knocked unconscious, in my opinion. It's absolutely insane he was knocked out (and even had an opposition player intervene to stop him swallowing his tongue!) and was made to play on.

Probably, given Cardiff's run-in. 1 more win and definitely.

Re: Match day thread - Bournemouth V Toon

My point is and always has been, you can argue that's a pen all day if you want, the point is it happens at EVERY corner in EVERY game. Referees can't be selective about which ones they give and which ones they don't. You either give all of them or give none of them.
