Re: Sandro Tonali Deal Confirmed? You bet!

Don’t really see the issue with the current set of rules. Bet all you like but you simply can’t do it on an event or competition you’re actively involved in regardless of the outcome. Allowing to do so would open up all kind of issues.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Burnley

Had our injury crisis been a bit less severe and English clubs did as well as they were expected to in Europe we could have almost stolen a 5th place champions league spot this year. If only! Defence aside I’m not really sure where we strengthen next season. I guess a lot hinges on Bruno/Isak this s...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace

Crap game. Palace were deserved the win. No Penalty call was poor and could have swung things in our favour at that stage in the game. Eze very good.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Man City and Arsenal to both go for Bruno in the summer according to the Telegraph. Losing him wouldn’t be great but bidding war wouldn’t be the worst scenario for him (unless he has a release clause?). He’d be a luge loss no doubt but I wonder if the club would welcome a bid for him if it allows th...

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024

I've never seen one of these. I've seen biased ones put together by fans who conveniently forget the ones in their favour, and I've seen the "if there's no VAR" table (which isn't the same as "correct"), but surely what you're describing doesn't exist ? What's a correct decision? well i remember se...

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024

VAR just hasn't been worth the trade off and the game is worse off for it imo. Any level-headed fan would have told you that decisions even themselves over the course of a season. It's unquestionably taken the joy out of celebrating a goal as everything now has to be reviewed - for the ref to then s...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Being linked with Chisea again. Only a year on his contract, and can play on either wing. Big concern would be that he's missed a lot of games due to injury Don’t watch a lot of Serie A but apparently he’s a player who only ever performs at international level and underwhelms domestically. Explains...

Could be that only 4th will be good enough for a CL spot this season but I'd welcome a strong europa league campaign from us next year.

Genuinely would rather Dummett CB and Burn LB. I'm actually annoyed with myself for typing that.
Can we not just forfeit the game, take the 0-3 loss and spare everyone the trauma instead?

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Toffees

Not sure how it looked on TV, but we were f***ing awful in the second half - couldn’t hold onto the ball at all and kept presenting it back to them. Positives: Hall did quite well, Anderson looked good, Dubravka better than he has been, Burn much better as a centre back. Negatives: Barnes struggled...

Bew. On another day we convert those chances and win two or three goals.

Was that Lewis Hall going off with an injury? Beyond a joke. Just end the season now.
