Re: Pardew

Pardew absolutely deserves credit for when we finished fifth, but ultimately it was his inability to adapt when things were going against us and blaming everything/everyone but himself that was concerning. Remember when he blamed science for losing? Yeah.

Re: The Punk, Metal and Rock thread

Just listened to my first ever Pantera song yesterday. Spent the entire day at work listening to everything they made back to back for 8 hours :D Feel like ive wasted my life to this point. The Great Southern Trendkill is amazing. Something about a heroin addict screaming that seems to do it for me!

Re: General Election 2017

Bit of a difference between making your political affiliations clear and a smear campaign against an opposition leader though! There's no clear way of deciding when a "smear campaign" is taking place. A series of lies printed against the character of a political figure? Well, there are press watchd...

Re: General Election 2017

I've never met anybody who thinks the media is unbiased. I prefer that this country's press makes its political affiliations clear; far better that than government controls forcing the press to be much more insidious about the whole thing. Besides, a freer press is more necessary than ever around a...

I'll never forget the time Bowyer* ran into him in the home match against Birmingham when we came back up and Bowyer just bounced off him and Tiote looked round not even realising it had happened <laugh>

*I think it was Bowyer anyway

Of course he dodges the question, why on earth would he want to tell the world he'll fire a nuke? Those weapons that we've never used and probably never will? "Would you push the button Jeremy? Would you? Would you? Would you nuke someone Jeremy? Would you?" He's even admitted to having a second st...

What about May's stance on internet privacy? Or her insistence on cutting immigration numbers depsite the fact that pretty much every study shows that immigration is very important for both the economy and society? Are you okay with more cuts to the NHS? Not trying to be judgmental, just interested...

Wouldn't mind it if the sponsor was so intrusive! Would look better on a solid colour shirt or even in a grey like the badge.

Re: Loanees 2016/2017 (Armstrong-watch)

The Coventry team was built around him, Barnsley wasn't. The few fans I spoke to when they were at Derby said he's got potential but he's still a bit too raw. Said he was a good young player but incredibly inconsistent.

Re: Lampard or Gerrard?

To me they're two different types of midfielder which I hate all these 'who was best' polls on the BBC etc. But if I was picking it would be Lampard every single day of the week. Better technically, better all round game, more goals and probably more assists (I haven't checked). Lampard's club care...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2017)

Well, we are a Championship team. I'm all for planning for the PL, but let's actually get out of this division first! We're not Man City, the money does run out. I think it was after the Jan window last season that Ashley said the pot was 'almost empty'. I'm sure Rafa has assurances but we won't be...
