Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

Steve Bruce wants Granit Xhaka on loan. I think he’d be a quality signing, European-quality player IMO. Also an enjoyable shithouse.

25pts by New Year?

So our run till Christmas is: Villa (A) - 1pt City (H) - 0pt Sheff U (A) - 1pt Southampton (H) - 3pt Burnley (A) - 1pt Palace (H) - 3pt Man U (A) - 0pt Everton (H) - 1pt That would be 25pts from 19 games - with opportunities to surpass that at Villa, Sheff U, Burnley and at home to Everton. In my op...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

Bruce is genuinely better than Rafa. Rafa was cautious but effective as our manager, the one negative in hindsight is that he convinced us that his way was the only way for us to survive, he downplayed our quality/players far too much which in turn made himself look godlike. Still he did a fantasti...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

Great win. Yes the front 3 need to score more - but for me all three were good today.

Also amazing performance from our 4th, 5th and 6th choice centre backs today!!

Yedlin MOTM for me but easily could’ve been any of the back 5.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth

Criticism of front 3 is fair - but worth saying in the last two games they’ve made 2 assists - Almiron has made 3 assists-to-assists. I’m keeping the faith

How the **** is that not a yellow.
Exactly. Endangering the safety of at least one opposition player. If it’s not a yellow it should be

Crikey it's quiet round here these days :bandit: Heading to Bratislava in a few weeks for a long weekend on a stag. Anyone been before and could recommend some good watering holes and things to do? Just done 4 days in Kiev last weekend and that was amazing. Chernobyl, Pripyat, the Duga radar and Pe...

Re: Peter Kenyon launches new £300m bid to buy NUFC

Here we go again indeed. “Steve Bruce, unparalleled success in Europe”... this is a speculative document, they’ve done a find+replace on “Rafa Benitez” with “Steve Bruce” and not proofread it. Stinks of amateurism and exactly the kind of thing that will be unsuccessful. No serious company involved i...

Hey folks - my brother is working on a game which is now available for wishlist on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1113400/Alliance_of_the_Sacred_Suns/ It’s a grand space strategy game, and if you wishlist it it will help with algorithms etc and help it do better (even if you don’t buy it ...

Good race I thought. Leclerc did well (if a little fortunate on some of the defending). Bottas really bottled it at the end, 3 times he got close and three time he made errors at the crucial time. Just not good enough for a top driver.

Astonishingly, Alex Peroni walked away from this one and is totally fine. Those sausages kerbs have to go though, they’re launch pads. But those plastic bollards out there instead of you don’t want people out there...

Crobon is the superhero we all need and, also, could probably quite easily be. His powers include being able to go completely incognito around walking groups and to grow huge courgettes which he uses as throwing weapons to attack. His nemeses include Horrid Borid - the yellow-coloured blusterer, wi...

Yeah it was horrible. T-boned at 170mph. The other bloke’s nose was smashed so hard by it he ended up with his feet hanging out where his nose should be, apparently has 2 leg fractures and spinal injuries. I don’t think I’ve seen a worse crash. Truly horrendous. The more I've heard about the crash ...

GP2 driver killed at Spa, apparently a horrible crash. I haven’t seen it and don’t intend to be one of those morbid people who starts looking for videos. I read that his car collided with another after coming back onto the track after hitting the barriers at the top of Eau Rouge which means they'd ...

Could’ve won that. 1pt was absolute minimum required today, need to win really, but OK. 4 from 4 inc Spurs and Arsenal isn’t bad.

Re: League Cup: Leicester (h)

Shame about the result.

The return of high volumes of soft tissue injuries is concerning me - under Rafa we had virtually zero and right now we have at least 4 (ASM, Krafth, Willems, Gayle). That is an oft-forgotten Achilles heel of ours historically...

I think he'll go with something like this: Dubravka Fernandez Clark Dummett Manquillo Shelvey Ki MLongstaff Willems Atsu Mutu Atsu won’t be able to play twice in 4 days after the injury layoff he’s had, so I’d expect either a kid or someone unusual (Ritchie or one of the Longstaffs maybe) to play u...
