Finally saw some decent games from Lazaro and Bentaleb - both were good. Longstaff was great till his hammy went, Almiron played well too, but of cours...

Lazaro looks exciting.
I assume this is sarcasm...?

I’ve been so disappointed with him since he joined.

Schär looking off the pace here. Not sure how we change it up without becoming defensively incredibly vulnerable though

Need much more from ASM and Almiron - right now our outball is awful, but they’re it’s not sticking when they do get it either

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

A lot of rumours going around that the Premier League are very close to giving approval. Apparently there is a Premier League board meeting scheduled today. ...There is but it's going to mostly be about scheduling the transfer window. The Premier League board is the 20 club chief execs + Richard Ma...

Re: Matchday Thread: Newcastle v Sheffield Utd

Brilliant win, everybody was good except Danny Rose. Great to see Joelinton score, hopefully that’ll help him relax a bit. Slowed down a lot at the end, but that’s probably good in terms of not overworking the players, given the volume of games coming up. I reckon a win against Villa and we’re safe ...

Re: Mackems

Apparently BZG (who were looking at buying Newcastle) are now in for them. If someone has a huge pile of money and wants to throw it at a football club then Sunderland are one of the best options out there on the face of it. Huge fanatical fanbase, big ground, good facilities, decent history etc. H...

Re: The Most Embarrassing Moment of Your Life

I wasn’t going to post this but a few weeks back I was driving a train and sharted quite badly. It happened as I was leaving York and I just let out a little fart but a little extra escaped. Problem is I had nothing with me to clean up so I had to sit in it for an hour until I got back to Newcastle...

SSN reporting that the new owners want Pochettino to be the next manager
For £19m a year!! Making him the 3rd best paid manager in the world behind Pep and Simeone. Extraordinary, but massive statement of intent. (Not totally sure it's great value, but definitely a top-tier manager.)
