Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

Bruce is interested in Andy Carroll. There’s a shock getting linked with him! Happens every transfer window iirc. Paid if you play basis might be interesting though. <scratch> Yeah I'll take him on a pay as you play basis. Give him a initial 1 year contract see how he does. We need a physical prese...

Re: Joelinton to sign tomorrow?

30 years old, sicknote, scoring record has dropped off at Southampton. I'd have had him 3 years ago, not now.

People will be wanting Carroll back as well next.

Re: The next manager?

News coming out now that we paid 2m for the release of Bruce, Agnew and Clemence which was agreed with Sheff Wed only for their owner to get back in touch with us demanding a higher fee once they'd gone <laugh> Steve Bruce shook hands with Sheffield Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri over his depa...

Re: Joelinton to sign tomorrow?

I know, what I meant was I'd rather do what we've done i.e. have Gayle back from his loan and flog Joselu, Gayle now being 3rd choice than have Joselu as our back up/3rd choice like last season. Joelinton, 1 other and Gayle isn't a bad choice, we will see what happens with Muto as well. Sorry! <gen...

I'd have had Austin a couple of years ago but he's past it now.

Joselu has gone!
I took his post as meaning that he'd be okay with Gayle replacing the now-gone Joselu as third choice striker, and that's why we need two additions to shuffle him down to third on the depth chart.

Re: Joelinton to sign tomorrow?

Happily have Gayle at 3rd choice over Joselu, Joelinton and another in and we aren't looking too bad up top. Bruce needs to decide where Muto fits in as well. Joselu has gone! Canny player from what I've heard. Needs to be supported by some solid PL players though.

Re: The next manager?

My simple thoughts on that mindnumbing few pages is that football is just leisure. Sure, I spend time on this forum, I watch Newcastle United on tv (went to matches when I lived there), I watch other clubs on tv, just as I go to baseball, football, basketball and rugby matches here in Toronto, and ...

Re: The next manager?

So you’re implying I'm a “snowflake”? I’ve been going probably longer than you’ve been alive. Suffered Westwood, McKeag and so on. I despise Ashley and everything he stands for, everything he does. He’ll be gone long before me. I’ve done as much as my conscious will let me, but I can’t turn my back...

Re: The next manager?

complicit I was called a scab once when I crossed the line of striking postal staff back in the mid 90s. I was a chef so when they mentioned I'd be on £10 an hour I gratefully took the opportunity as there was no minimum wage at the time and I'd been working 90 hour weeks for £90 after tax. Caterin...

Re: The next manager?

It's not the f***ing Cold War or The Miners strike. Just because the 'stand' against Ashley defines your life doesn't mean it defines everyone else's. Why you so upset about my opinion? Calm down pal. Because you're blowing footballing matters out of all proportion. You're like that MEP who said we...

Just to clarify (again) I have no problem with people not attending games, I'll be watching less but to rub it in decent fan's noses and call the 'scabs' ect is just pathetic.

Have to say that i'm underwhelmed with his appointment but got to get behind the team or what's the point. The one thing we have to do is get signings in asap or we're f***ed but this is NUFC so buckle up for the ride <laugh> Why do we have to get behind the team? Because they're our team you monum...

We can make ten subs and I think Redfearn is planning to, so I wouldn't read too much into the lineup.
Aye, should never read too much into pre season at all. Not that it will stop people.

Nope.
It definitely is. Sadly they didn't realise we would trump them within an hour by announcing this.
It's kinda worse if it is a joke. Huddersfield have announced it on their twitter page and everything <erk>
