Re: Signing #1: Martin Dubravka

Dubravka > Elliot > Darlow > Woodman. Think Woodman may end up being better than Elliot and Darlow. Also not sure how the latest round of injuries will have impacted on Elliot, could even be 4th choice now. For me Dubravka is miles better than the other 3. Not much between the other 3. Spot on. Ell...

Re: Signing #1: Martin Dubravka

Make your mind up. He'd go from average to really bad in a split second on an all too regular basis. When he made his famous save in the Championship it came from a piece of horrendous goalkeeping initially. He's capable of being decent enough but all in all he isn't anywhere near good enough becau...

Re: Signing #1: Martin Dubravka

Darlow isn't that bad to be fair. But he lost his place to Elliot on more than one occasion because he makes a lot of mistakes. I'd say when they were competing, Elliot was the better goalkeeper of the 2. Dubravka is head and shoulders above the pair of them.

Re: Team for Huddersfield

Was a front 2 for the most part until we went flat back 9. Hayden even stated post match that they went out to match Wolves 5-3-2 formation. Either way we're favouring 5 at the back a lot now so it'll be interesting to see what happens with a lot of players.

Re: Team for Huddersfield

Straight swap of Almiron for Atsu and Ki for Hayden, though that's really harsh on Hayden. I really struggle to see what Ritchie's position would be in this formation bar where he is already sadly, and I'd be disappointed to see Dummett played as a wing back at home to Huddersfield. Against Wolves ...

Re: Signing #1: Martin Dubravka

Someone pushing you does make you try that bit harder(or crumble under the pressure) but we have to remember that Darlow is a really bad goalkeeper who is not pushing for a first team place.

Re: Team for Huddersfield

Don’t think Shelvey will be fit enough to start. I’d drop him for Muto, so it’s a 3-4-2-1 with Muto and Almiron begins Rondon. (Or, depending how you look at it, a 5-3-2, a 3-4-3, a 3-4-1-2, a 5-4-1 or a 5-2-2-1. Ahh the permutations <awe>) Realistically will be Pérez instead of Muto but I can live...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Were you at the match? Should've said! <roll> Thought he was so poor. 6/7 times he took far too long on the ball, held it up well and had good options but just kept hold of it and was tackled. Nearly conceded from it 2 or 3 times. Was also lazy with his pressing. There was one occasion where the Wo...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Rondon and Yedlin were awful. Dubravka made an error but he made a lot of good saves. Longstaff is better than Paul Scholes ever was. Almiron was lively, looked great in his cameo. Rondon wasn’t awful (maybe he appeared that way if you only saw it on TV but certainly not if you saw the match). Agre...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

I'm glad he got a proper opportunity to prove himself. This isn't a shot at Rafa, because it goes back farther than him, but I feel like Longstaff is the first academy player (besides Dummett) to have gotten a consistent run-out in the senior side, in his true position, in a long time. Maybe he sho...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

NFL... Agreed. s**** sport almost impossible to watch. Break in play every other minute so they can swap players and have 5 mins of adverts. Also all that body armour and helmets and they don't even tackle properly, it's grappling at best. Beyond pathetic. Tell that to the fella with the broken arm...

Re: Match thread - Spurs v Toon

Genuinely amazed by some comments in this thread. I'm one of the most outspoken critics of Rafa's alleged tactics, but I saw absolutely nothing wrong with them in the last two games (well, apart from playing Atsu ahead of the soiled rag, but still). We're running out of games? Most of us had us in ...
