Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

He's alleged to have raped a woman in Vegas shortly after his Real Madrid transfer. He's confirmed to have given her a payoff to stop participating with police, but police there reopened the case 9 years later and wanted to pursue a conviction, but the district attorney chose not to. Der Spiegel di...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Had my second Pfizer last week. Felt tired on the day and had a dead arm for about 3 days afterwards but that's all. Similar to when I had my first jab although the dead arm only lasted about 24 hours then.

Re: Match day thread: Newcastle v West Ham

I've always been baffled when we have Hayden in that role, they are basically asking him to play Willocks role despite him having none of the attributes to play it. I think it pretty much says everything about our midfield, there isn't anyone else who can play a forward thinking role effectively, I...

Re: Match day thread: Newcastle v West Ham

Thought Woodman did well, nothing he could have done about any of the goals. Saved a penalty and made a good save from Bowen but had zero protection from a non existent defence. Weren't 3 of the goals from inside the 6 yard box? Shelvey wasn't out worst player but it showed how limited he is. Offers...

Re: 4-3-3 ??

Do you think it does? Dummett's not a wing back but at the same time he's nowhere near the "CB playing at LB" that believe make him out to be, while Manquillo is a typically orthodox full back. You might not get goals from either of them but they're both happy to get across the halfway line. For me...

Re: 33-man England Squad confirmed

Nobody can see why Mings is in. Awful player. Think the 2 friendlies have probably made Southgate realise this and that's why White has been called up. Ward-Prowse has been absolutely robbed.

I don’t think Ajer is any better than what we already have so not really bothered if he signs or not.
I know very little about him. But he is a lot younger than what we have.

Re: 33-man England Squad confirmed

Seems a bit harsh on Lingard who had some of the best form in the league the second half of the season. And Godfrey might be the lone bright spot coming out of Everton's disappointing season (whether he's actually good enough to make the national team is maybe another matter). 4 CB's + Walker is en...

Re: 2020/21 Season Review

Clark was more dropped due to an ankle/heel injury so I've heard via Ireland sources as to why he wasn't in national squad. With Hayden and Ritchie yes they had their bad form but tell me a player who doesn't have a blip during the season. Yep Gayle as I've said is championship level, he'll score t...

Re: Armstrong and Toney

If we were to sign Armstrong it can't be as a back up. We'd need to move away from the 5-3-2 and play a more forward thinking formation. Is the formation the issue, or how it's executed? That formation can have attacking intent depending on how everyone plays their roles. It's been alright recently...

Re: 2020/21 Season Review

Good review, agree with a lot of it. Bruce has done alright all in all, he's largely clueless tactically though and he's not the man to take us forward. I think when looking at some players there's reputations being taken into account rather than performance. Ritchie was abysmal around December/Jan...

Re: 33-man England Squad confirmed

I'd have picked Woodman over Ramsdale. Bamford another that's unlucky to miss out.

I'd cut Ramsdale, TAA, White, Godfrey, Henderson, Lingard and Watkins.

Re: NUFC Out of Contract Players: Keep or Ditch?

I don't understand what we've done with Gayle/Carroll. Last few months we're throwing Gayle on when we're chasing a game and then hoofing the ball up to his head. He did score a header v WBA earlier in the season, if it works once then Bruce sticks with it forever. Got the assist against Liverpool ...
