Re: Pavel's eBar

<laugh> You should move to one of the islands that is part of Guernsey then. Cars, motorbikes etc are banned on Sark. Everybody gets around on bicycles, horse and cart or under special licence tractor (only issued if you need it for farming or business transportation) ... or they walk. It is my fav...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

Not knocking Bowen or any points people have been making about him but how many goals/assists did Gayle get in The Championship 3 years ago and yet he still isn't deemed good enough for the Premier League. He got 23 goals, don't know about assists and 24 last season. Bowen got 22 goals last season....

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)

I'd like us to take a punt on Jarrod Bowen from Hull. Was excellent last season and tops the charts so far this season with 14 goals/4 assists. I fully expect PL clubs to show interest in January and it would be good if we were one of them. I don't know much about this Bowen lad but his stats in Th...

Re: Pavel's eBar

No worries, i'm not criticising, I've just never really understood it. But then living on a small island with nowhere really to drive to and a top speed limit of 35mph there isn't really much call for pleasure driving where I am, so I guess that may be part of it. Doesn't stop loads of people here ...

Re: Pavel's eBar

It’s each to their own. I’ve always just liked having a fun quick car as I enjoy driving. No worries, i'm not criticising, I've just never really understood it. Re: Pavel's eBar

Am I alone on here in being the opposite of a petrol head? A car is just a tool to me and I get no more excited about one than I would a toaster or a hoover. I've got a Russell Hobbs and Bosch respectively … in case anybody is interested. Oh and a fifteen year old Ford Fiesta. That has only done 18,...

Re: Match day thread - Sheff Utd v NUFC

You know what. Seeing this new interview from him. I'm starting to like Steve Bruce. Some might bash me for this, but there's this bit of "Kevin Keegan" passion about him which I really like. I’ve always disliked the hatred he’s received from our fans. One of the most distasteful things I’ve seen f...

Re: Match day thread - Sheff Utd v NUFC

Interesting in the post-match interview, Shelvey said the ref briefed them before the game to keep playing if the flag goes up for upside unless they hear the whistle, so that VAR can be in play. Good from the ref and from Shelvey for keeping his head. Great win, wasn't good to watch, but up to 11th...

Did not realise the whistle hadn't been blown and thought Shelvey was going to be yellow carded!

Re: Match day thread - Sheff Utd v NUFC

We've had 25% possession apparently. Could have fooled me we've barely touched the ball except to hoof it clear.

This is weird. I typed this exact post but the screen froze when I hit submit and I had to close out of the forum to unfreeze. And now it is attributed to Sir Bobby? Wise words though Sir Bobby, couldn't have said it better myself. :bandit: <laugh> I was just taking the piss because you sent it thr...
