Re: General Election 2017

It really shows the state of British politics that the tories have made two huge **** ups in the last 12 months that could have very real damaging consequences to the public, and yet they are still in power... I saw a map the other day of all the torie constiancies and it was almost all over the UK....

Re: Basketball

Not old enough to have seen him play at the time but seen plenty of video of him play. I feel he is always badly overlooked when people talk about greatest ever, he deserves to be in that conversation more than he is. I think Hakeem has said he sees some of himself in Embiid and has offered to train...

Re: Basketball

Don't know how many dominating centres are really available at the moment though. Nerlens Noel is a free agent this summer and is a very good defender but is not great offensively. He will be asking for the max as well so not sure the Cavs could pay him. PG13 is out of contract next summer. Not a c...

Re: Basketball

Well I guess basketball is going to be boring for the next few years <erm>. The Cavs need to sign Westbrook or something. Would Westbrook be the final piece in their puzzle? Great player that he is i don't think he's the solution for Cleveland. Cavs already have players who like to touch or bring t...

Edit: also <laugh> I don't know if anyone else has seen the latest season of House of Cards but Frank Underwood (the protagonist) is losing a presidential election and conspires for a terror attack to happen around the time of the election so the vote doesn't go ahead and he ends up winning eventua...

Re: RIP Cheick Tiote

Can't believe this. So shocking and sad.

He will rightfully always be remembered for his wonder goal against Arsenal, but I always loved this bit against Chelsea too. Pretty much encapsulates him as a player.

You definitely wouldn't have posted it if it involved a Labour MP

Why? I've never voted for Labour before.

Also for the sake of argument lets say that is true. How does that make Amber Rudd censoring someone running against her better?

The guy talking isn't a Labour or Conservative MP. He is standing as an independent anti-corruption parliamentary candidate.

Also this is more about him being censored from talking about it, if you missed that...

Amber Rudd is a Tory is she not?

Re: General Election 2017

Labour never sold arms to Saudi Arabia and Tony Blair wasn't friends with Gadaffi, Corbyn didn't call Hamas his friends. It's a dirty dirty topic that transcends both the major parties so it would be nice if people stop using it just as a stick to beat the Tories with and realise that dodgy arms de...

Re: General Election 2017

The entire nuclear deterrent thing is stupid imo. There are loads of countries who do not have nuclear weapons and funnily enough they aren't getting nuked all over the place. The chances that another country decides to nuke us even if we don't have a nuclear deterrent is such a tiny percentage that...
