Re: Walking/Wilderness
Anyone else like taking long walks to discover new places in the country? Anyone even done some kind of mad Bear Grylls type trip into the middle of nowhere? Also, I've decided to try a long solo walk at some point this spring/summer, one that takes between two and four days . Anybody got any recom...

Re: Boxing Thread
The judge who scored it 118-110 to Canelo should be nowhere near scoring the fight. She has a history of pulling this ****. Bent as ****.

Re: Do you enjoy using social media?
Also Snapchat is what has made me realise that I'm getting old and there is now another generation behind me. It's not just that I don't understand it but more that I just don't care to understand it.

Re: Do you enjoy using social media?
I use twitter but I don't tweet. I use it just to follow news and interests which I think it is good for. I use instagram a bit too. Again I don't post anything but it's good to follow photographers and the like on there. Social media as a whole I think is pretty cancerous and I do think it is worse...

Re: RAFA Future
I think the difference in feeling about whether Rafa has been backed is probably down to season expectations. If your expectations for this season is just to avoid relegation then I think this squad with Rafa as manager is good enough to stay up and so would agree he has been sufficiently backed to ...

Re: RAFA Future
@ OT and DT I think if Rafa had been backed to a reasonable level we would've had a GK, LB, number 10 and a better strike force by now. I don't think that is unrealistic. I do acknowledge that the lack of outgoing has been an issue in freeing up squad space, but again that's not Rafa's job. We got ...

Re: RAFA Future
@ OT and DT I know there are other bills and such that cost money. Likewise there are other income streams other than transfer fees such as TV money, parachute payments, sponsorship, tickets money, etc. We will also be getting over £100m for being in the PL this season. I know we lost out on that £1...

Re: RAFA Future
This was the second transfer window in a row that he has felt he hasn't been properly backed though. None of us know what Ashley promised Benitez in order for him to stay but Rafa was clearly sold on the potential of our club and now feels like that isn't there anymore. Ashley has tried to run the ...

Re: RAFA Future
Rafa will in all likelihood leave at the end of the season imo regardless of what happens to us. I agree. I honestly think though that he hasn't been truly short changed on promises of having the money to spend but the club was within its rights to ask for the squad to be culled before new signings...

Re: Books
After doing a frankly pitiful amount of reading over the last 4 (four!) years since graduating, I've finally got back into a decent reading routine. Averaging a book a week at the minute and currently half way through Flowers for Algernon which is pretty interesting so far. Recommend me all of the ...

Re: Ashley speaks
I agree, Hanley for example signed a 5 year deal and helped us gain promotion so he's perfectly entitled to remain and fight for his place but also from Ashleys perspective if we sign 3 more players Rafa wants then that's around 5 players collecting wages that cant even be registered so he is entit...
