Tbf, he scored the exact kind of goal we were begging Mitrovic to even be in the right position for last season. That said, that was my first full match of watching him and it doesn't feel like we've missed out on anything special.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2017)

To be fair I hadn't really heard of Xabi Alonso when Rafa signed him for Liverpool either. We need to have a team rather than a collection of individuals like we've had for so long- we were all buzzing at signing Wijnaldum and ended up going down. I trust Rafa's judgement. Agreed. Although he has s...

Meh. Would have been a good loan if the buy option was there, not a major loss to miss out on. Glad we didn't buckle to "I want to play X amount of games." Gotta earn that s***

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2017)

Personally I don't believe any player is committed to the club (as is the case at every club). If they got a better offer they'd either move or demand a new contract on more money to stay. Top flight modern football is about one thing only, money. There are rare exceptions to the rule, but not many...

Re: Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid

I think he's still too good to flop anywhere, but it will be interesting to see when his decline really begins. That could arrive quickly. He's still a top tier player definitely, but the Madrid set up has been built to get the best out of him. He isn't expected to track back and his contributions ...

Mine arrived too. Not allowed it 'til my birthday as it was bought as a present. Might try the old "let me just make sure it fits" and then just wear the s*** out of it.

Didn't Ronaldo say, like a week ago, that he'd never play for Man u again?

Wouldn't even take him then. His legs have gone, can't play in midfield anymore.

I'd take him over Colback any day.

Taken from reddit with no source:
So apparently the Chinese guy that's looking into buying the club is the same guy who bailed out atletico when they were in financially f***ed, and then funded their rise to what they are now

Would be silly not to, imo. Especially if we haven't signed an out and out first choice by then.

I think he'll keep Perez. He was right not to start him week in week out in a league like the Championship, but I for some reason I see him having a big role to play this year. Good appointment for them. Leeds fans are pissed.

This. Could near enough see Boro bounce straight back with Monk at the helm.
