Re: an appeal to all Newcastle United fans

I always liked the idea (think it was just mentioned by someone on here) that everyone waits outside the ground for the first 10 minutes, then makes their way in.

Imagine pardews smug face then <awe>

Re: Weekend Football (26 - 27 Apr)

So, as I see it, on Monday night Everton will be hoping we can beat Arsenal to keep alive their Champions League hopes whilst next Saturday the mackems, Fulham & Norwich will all be hoping we beat Cardiff to keep alive their survival hopes and on the final day Chelsea and City will both be hoping w...

Re: Your ideal (realistic) replacement for Pardew?

Moyes is the absolute best we could hope for under this regime. He's British (every manager we've had under Ashley has been British) , will require no compensation and is a known name to someone as ignorant as Ashley. Not saying he's the best manager going but he's at the top end of what we'd be lo...

Re: Pardew to have future decided at end of season meeting

I don't think Bruce would be anywhere near my top 5 choices of (realistic) replacements for Pardew but he's done ok at most places he's been. He managed to get Wigan up to 11th despite them battling relegation when he took over. He had a bad tendency to bounce between clubs during his early manager...

GOT history question for those who have read the books.. I haven't read the books, so without saying anything that will impact the show, or if the answer to this question will then please dont answer - what actually happened with Lyanna Stark? I always thought from the bits and pieces mentioned in t...

Re: How good is Brendan Rodgers?

I always thought he "stole" responsibility for the way Swansea played away from Martinez, so had actually expected him to fail at Liverpool. Hard to argue with what he's done mind, turning into a very, very good manager, and if i didnt despise Liverpool i'd happily want him and his style of football...

Re: QPR losses/I don't know which thread to put this in

I actually feel sorry for the fans. Might be biased because my Dad and brothers are season ticket holders there (oh, and they aren't bellends and nor are the guys they go with who are also season ticket holders, and nor are any of the people I've ever met at that stadium when I went the 90s and ear...

Try not to be too picky but you'd think the tussle that took place in the bathroom would have been quite noisy and alerted the guy who came back upstairs for his gun!

Re: Newcastle Utd v Tottenham - 12/02/14

Was i the only one impressed with Santon as a RW?

I cant remember what game it was but AP bought on Haidara, switched Santon to RW and not kidding in those remaining minutes he seemed to do more than Sissoko did that whole game! Couple decent crosses too.

He's definitely not a CM.

Re: Kinnear Resigns!

Out of interest would people prefer Ashley to say a Cardiff/Hull type owner? An owner who wants to spend, wants to see improvements, has all the ambition..but wants to change our name to Newcastle Magpies or something. I know there were riots in the streets when Ashley changed our stadium name, but ...
