Re: The next manager?
Horrific news. The media is not reporting this ridiculous appointment honestly either. It's a total mess and I reckon relegation odds will be even by the time we're 10 games in.

I've seen a translation now and it looks like a poorly written piece of speculation with no basis of fact within it

Re: Players you randomly miss
Is it too early to mention Rondon? We know it's inevitable that the team will play more games than score goals this season.

Re: Chinese Tour
I read an article somewhere speculated that, as an official Premier League affiliated set of friendly fixtures; being televised live in the UK, there's an obligation for media duties to be fulfilled by someone at the club. As such, we should open betting as to whom from the club will be left holding...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)
It's nice that we can spend the summer relaxing and not worrying about transfers in and out to Newcastle. They've got a great hold of things up top.
30 days to go until the new season...5 senior players have left and 0 in. Brilliant, just pure brilliant.

It's a farce, one team owned through mafia money thrashed by oil baron money.
I actually hope Watford fall off a cliff - their aging squad is a ticking timebomb.

He has got them Champs League football...I guess you bring a 'coach' in to develop the squad. People forget how many players they actually have on the books. I think he wouldn't turn down Juve...the fanbase has definitely soured

BBarton will send over his tactical tips sheet. It'll probably consist of 'feel it, think it, do it! (Nut Cattermole in the tunnel)'

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)
IF Manchester United are prepared to offer £50m+ for Longstaff, I'd take it. I know, we'd be down to one CM in the entire squad, but I doubt we'd regret it long term. Anyone who signs for them will end up being a mid-table player and that's the best he can hope for at an NUFC under Fatshley. Sessegn...

Re: Man City referred to Uefa financial body
Essentially this all stems from 'rushing' club growth. I reckon City are probably actually not a million miles ahead in terms of NUFC's revenue streams...that 10 year £100m Etihad 'sponsorship' that they got should be scrutinised too. FFP is a hamfisted approach at stopping overspending yes, but I'd...

Re: Brighton sack Hughton
His career is done.
Hughton should look at WBA for sure, and perhaps even Leeds if Bielsa walks. He's this generation's Championship promotion specialist now - it's not a bad reputation to have.

Re: Rondon or Mitrovic
Mitrovic has left NUFC and won't be coming back. He'd be too expensive for what the club pays for players, has a bad reputation with the club administration and probably wouldn't suit the style of play either. I know he's a talented young striker but I've seen better players leave NUFC for less mone...

Seems a bit of a stretch to include players like Salah and Van Dijk, when I don't remember particularly strong links to them, especially compared to all of the other stories regarding their potential sales. https://www.90min.com/posts/6011716-what-could-have-been-liverpool-superstar-mohamed-salah-a...

Re: Match thread - Toon vs Citeh
So today, I made two decisions.
1) Skip the game and go out for dinner instead (it was a f***ing write off on paper)
2) Start a thread to discuss all the failed signings we should have had
I'm going to add 3) I'm putting £10 on Mike Ashley living until breakfast on Saturday
