Re: Fulham vs Newcastle Preview 05/08/2016

Just watched the highlights, unlucky not to get at least one penalty but should have really converted at least one of our chances. A wobbly start, but our last season in the championship hardly got off to a flyer . Still think we've got another 2/3 players coming in, not to mention Mitro and Diame,...

Re: Fulham vs Newcastle Preview 05/08/2016

Probably the easiest away in the league and we lost it, places like Burton and Rotherham will be on awful pitches, unlike Fulham. Looks like a long awful year ahead, Championship is a horrible league to be in and it is for a reason because poor teams get relegated. Big wake up call last night. As f...

Didn't he say was definitely staying, ie he lied to us, exactly the same as Duff who plenty have booed.

Re: Sky Sports: Palace to trigger Townsend release clause

Was the same Townsend that was injured when McClaren was on the verge of going. Clearly knew he could get a move out if we went down. If he goes good riddance to him. I for one will boo him if he ever comes back.

Re: Hodgson resigns as England manager

It's a short term appointment with Eddie Howe as number 2, in the same way as Sven had Steve McClaren as number 2 or Venables had Bryan Robson as number 2, don't know who that manager is. Suspect it should be a foreigner. Would have Rafa.

Re: Championship fixtures 16/17

Was happy with the fixture list, would have preferred more accessible away trips in April, as if we are going up it would be nice to do it at somewhere like Preston or Barnsley for example.

Re: Shola to Gateshead?

We already have better! Would be hilarious though <awe> <laugh> Honestly rather see Styche play but if having Ameobi sat near the bench every week gets us extra attendees, then.. maybe. I wouldn't hate Styche saw his antics in the Macclesfield game in March, even James Curtis didn't like him, that ...

Shola to Gateshead?

BBC are reporting that Gateshead have made contact with Shola Ameobi's agent about him signing for them.

Timed at 14:01.

Think it would be a good move for both parties and Shola might be the player to get them into the League <dotheameobi>

Really can't see us getting Arbeloa and Carrick mate, personally think with Elliot and Darlow it might be time to move Krul on. Would also be happy to see Aarons get more of a chance next season and players like Sterry and Armstrong.

Re: Graham Carr signs new 8 year contract

There were a lot of people on here who gave Riviere longer than they gave Mitrovic. There are probably still people who think he's worth another chance. Riviere would even be s*** in the Championship. I'm guilty of that one I'm afraid. Mitrovic got stronger as the season went on, especially once Ra...

Re: Townsend in preliminary England squad

Would have said yesterday without any Man Utd players and only Henderson available out of the Liverpool he really had to be playing a part if he was going. Don't fancy Delph's chances either might be saved be the fear about centre backs and the fact that Dier might be needed there. Think Drinkwater...

Townsend or Wilshere ?
I'd take Townsend, never rated Wilshere had the odd moment like his goal against Norwich a few years back and the game where he scored 2 goals for England (think it was against Slovenia).

Re: Graham Carr signs new 8 year contract

Scapegoated big time. Recommended a few duds but wouldn't hold him responsible for the failures of the last four years. Thrown under the bus by Charnley. Far from the only one, Charnley hanging on at the minute by the fact he got lucky and appointed Benitez. Charnley knows about as much on football...
