Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Chelsea also want £80m for Connor Gallagher which is laughable, but shows where the market is. But it does highlight where we are with our squad at the moment, outside our star players we've nobody that we could sell for that much to enable us to make big moves elsewhere. ASM went for what, £20m or...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

All sounds ominous this morning. I’d be happy for us to do nothing (in and out) and keep our powder dry until the summer. Don’t even know our best squad yet because of all these injuries so it’s not exactly clear where we need to strengthen on perhaps a limited budget.

Re: Football Titbits

The hypocrisy is another debate all together but it's kinda rooted from the same place, everyone these days is expected to stand up for something, especially celebrities as it helps their "Brand" I'm pretty sure Jordan Henderson didn't wake up one day and decide to make a stand off his own back, ye...

Re: Football Titbits

The arrogance of our media thinking Henderson is the poster boy for a league that has the likes of Ronaldo etc 🤣. In terms of morals, money etc, who honestly gives a ****, it's all fake outrage half the time. Why do we expect people to justify accepting absurd amounts of money to go play football, ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh

Absolute FPL masterstroke by me to bring back KDB as captain… <coat>

Our performances are still there but can’t keep relying on the same players week in week out. Few weeks off and hopefully we’ll see some fresh legs back soon.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v sunlun

Overriding sentiment is relief. Relieved that it’s over, that we didn’t lose, and that we finally beat them. I had completely forgotten what that derby day dread felt like until about 15 mins before kick off. I don’t know what everyone else thought but today felt quite surreal. Contrasting fortunes ...

You’d have thought someone would have mentioned something sooner. A truly awful idea.

Just watching the postmatch, wish Longstaff had at least appealled for that pen. Don't think it is but at least it puts it in the refs head, certainly more of a pen than Jotas.
Agree. Reminded me of Mount’s vs France at the WC.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v 'Pool

I was convinced before this game Sunderland would turn us over based on our horrendous away form. We’ve been well beaten today but we’re much improved from recent performances. Doesn’t look like any additional injuries so let’s hope. Losing to Sunderland could be fatal Would be awful, and I think h...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v 'Pool

We’re on a poor run of form and don’t really have a plan B. Getting players returning from injury will rejuvenate the squad. Wasn't that what people said a few weeks ago when we had Longstaff, Wilson, Burn coming back? Now we have Botman back too and nothing has gotten any better in terms of on fie...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v 'Pool

To be honest we can bleat on about over achieving, CL was ahead of schedule etc, none of that changes the fact we have been absolutely rancid to watch on the pitch for pretty much 2 months now. The team is struggling to do the basics every single game. Like I've previously mentioned in this thread,...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v 'Pool

Will we have anyone back for the Derby. This group of knackered players could get beat by an energised Sunderland I was convinced before this game Sunderland would turn us over based on our horrendous away form. We’ve been well beaten today but we’re much improved from recent performances. Doesn’t ...

Started poorly but managed to grow into the game as the first half progressed.

We just can’t keep hold the of the ball big disconnect between Isak and midfield.

Re: Howe under pressure?

Can’t see much business other than Phillips loan and/or another cheap option to cover in midfield or GK. Willock, Murphy, Barnes and Anderson all due back at some point next month (if those injury status websites are to be believed). Had our fortunes been different and we stayed in the cups we might...
