Re: The Match Tickets Thread

Nobody knows. Latest is Tuesday, but it's possible we get notified before the next ballot tomorrow. Communication is woolly as hell. One thing I will say is that it'll be even harder for non season ticket holders to get cup tickets next season. I'll be buying my seat even if I can't go to save this...

After my phone giving me an error message, my laptop thankfully being only 5 minutes behind in the queue, and a painful wait for a confirmation email, I am in the ballot. Absolutely s***ting it.
<divax> When do you find out?

Re: The Most Embarrassing Moment of Your Life

Never got soaked in piss thankfully, although I've seen plenty of piss bottles being launched about. I've seen far too many overflowing s*** heaps though. Nothing worse than stumbling into one in the morning with a raging hangover and seeing/smelling a sun-ripened mixture of piss, s***, vomit and t...

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread

Everton, West Ham and Palace for me. That would certainly be a shock. Dyche will keep Everton up and I think Moyes will with West Ham, although I don't see him there long term. Palace will ultimately be fine too I think. It'll be interesting to see if Leeds have left it too late to replace Marsch.

Re: The Most Embarrassing Moment of Your Life

<laugh> Summer day drinking is f***ing lethal. I remember being at Download festival one year sitting in the baking hot sun all day and I must have had about 12 pints of pear cider and 20 cigs. I was boiling, dehydrated and steaming and it's probably the worst I've ever felt in my life. Stumbled th...

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread

As the result of past deeds, I shall confess, I don't like Leeds, But setting personal feelings aside, A Marsch epilogue I shall provide, At Elland Road things got messy, For poor old head coach Jesse, No win since bonfire night, Fans starting to backbite, Fuelled by frustration, Of the looming spe...

Re: The Most Embarrassing Moment of Your Life

QWOP simultaneously pissing and s***ting himself in school is still my favourite. Don't know how you'd ever recover from that socially. I did that once in my bathroom one Summer after drinking all day in the sun and getting sunstroke. <laugh> Summer day drinking is f***ing lethal. I remember being ...

Over a season that wouldn't be too bad really <laugh> It's most likely scraping safety but with a reasonable goal difference.

Re: Manchester City accused of breaching financial rules by Premier League

FFP was never a way of protecting clubs or levelling the competition. Its was to protect the old guard with there already massive stadiums and huge incomes from sponsorships from any upstarts like ourselves or City tbf breaking into the established order. Football needs a wage and spending cap wort...

Re: Manchester City accused of breaching financial rules by Premier League

I mean literally everyone knows they've been propped up on dodgy dealings, but I'll look forward to seeing them getting a strongly worded letter to tell them off in 5 years time and no further action taken. This is exactly what I believe will happen too. They'll get a load of punishments dished out...

Manchester City accused of breaching financial rules by Premier League

From the BBC: The Premier League has charged Manchester City with breaking its financial rules following a four-year investigation. It has referred the club to an independent commission over alleged rule breaches between 2009 and 2018. It also accused City of not co-operating since the investigation...

This season reminds me a bit of the 2003/2004 season when we drew 17 times!

W:13
D:17
L:8

Finished 5th with 56 points.
