Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Villa
Buendia, Ramsey and Moreno being out is a massive bonus. This three and Watkins ripped us apart at Villa Park back end of last season. Buendia was great against us pre season as well. This could be a good time to play them. I fancy us to win today, atmosphere will be great with it being first game o...

Re: 2023/24 Season Predictions
I don't think the champions league will have too much of a negative impact on league position, especially if we go out in the group stage. It'll only be 6 extra games and with the new signings plus the improvement of Anderson, we've pretty much got two very capable starting midfields and attack. A l...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I'm bit concerned about lack of strikers. Isak and Wilson will do the job. If we pick up injuries then both Gordon and Joelinton are expirienced in that role and more than capable.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
Whole system seems madness. I get that different areas of the stadium have different price categories but why not have separate ballots, choosing which to enter by price category. For example a ballot for category 2 seating (guessing that'll be the £44 areas) a ballot for category 1 seating and a ba...

I reckon he'll be a great signing.
I don't really buy the not as exciting narrative either. I find goals a lot more exciting than step overs.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I think we'll bring a few more in still. It's still early in the window and in terms of both squad places but more importantly the new UEFA wage to turnover restrictions, I don't expect to see many more arrivals before we ship out the likes of Darlow, Manquillo, Lewis, Fraser, Hendrick, Hayden and m...

Re: 23/24 Fixtures
So I think I mentioned in the tickets thread, I'm off on holiday for the Villa game so trying to find out how this daft e-ticket thing works to pass it on. I fly at 5pm so miss the entire game. I come back the following Saturday, landing at 10pm, missing the entire City game. They've scheduled the ...

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
About to fail to get tickets for the final time this season! 12,507 in the queue for Leicester. Yet again got through to the stadium view and no seats. What's the f***ing point?! I wonder if Leicester are relegated by the time we play them if they'll return some tickets? On general sale if you're a...

Re: Football Titbits
Chris Sutton has argued for a ten match ban. I haven't seen it, but I read it was a push on the referee? I get the point about protecting the match officials, but that's a bit over the top surely? You can come in with a leg breaker on a fellow professional footballer, and rightfully receive a three...

Re: newcastle v wolves cnt wait
I reckon we'll win today. We've been creating good chances and at some point we will start finishing them again. Hopefully he'll make a couple of changes to freshen things up. I'd like to see us start with this team: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Targett Longstaff Bruno Willock Maxi Isak Gordon Rumours...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Liverpool
Pope getting banned and Dubravka being ineligible to play is the most Newcastle thing ever. You almost have to laugh. All we needed to do yesterday was hope nobody got injured and nobody did anything stupid to get sent off. It was already 2-0 anyway, he's got to think of the bigger picture there and...

Re: Has everyone got a bit of a t*** in there team?
Now that we've signed Gordon, we've all pretty much agreed that he's a bit of a t***, but he's our t*** now. Which got me thinking, does everyone have a t*** in their team? We have Gordon. City have Grealish. Manure have Fernandes. Anyone else for any others? I mean other teams fans have been very ...

Re: Anthony Gordon signing imminent?
I think hell be a good signing for us. Has the pace and work rate to slot into our high press system. He's also the sort of shithouse you hate when he's not on your team but will love when he's playing for you. A key part of our success this season is that we're a team full of shithouses and we regu...

Squad Development
The game yesterday highlighted that we're severely lacking quality in the squad outside of the first 11. Next season if we want to sustain a battle for the top 4, have a long run in Europe and a long run in both domestic cups, then we're going to have to make a number of changes to the squad. Hopefu...

Re: Matchday thread - Sheffield Wednesday v Toon
Frustrating to be knocked out and this definitely showed the weakness in squad depth. Could maybe be a blessing in disguise though. With the drop off in quality between the first 11 and the squad players being so great, we could do with as few games as possible to minimise injury risk between now an...

For FA Cup I'd go: Dubravka Manquillo Lascelles Botman Lewis Anderson Longstaff Joelinton Murphy Wood Maximin Then revert back to the starting team for the league cup: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Burn Longstaff Bruno Willock Almiron Wilson Joelinton I'd give Isak half an hour from the bench in the FA...

Re: Tickets for newly converted Polish Toon fans
It'll be impossible to get 4 tickets together for a Premier league game. Your best bet will be the Rayo Vallecano game on 17th December. Its on general sale now here - https://book.nufc.co.uk/en-GB/events/newcastle%20united%20v%20rayo%20vallecano/2022-12-17_12.30/st%20james%20park?hallmap There is a...
