Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U
Massive changes are needed. If we've got ambitions to challenge at the top of the table and be Champions League regulars then a massive clear out is needed. Likes of Dubravka, Gillespie, Karius, Dummett, Lascelles Krafth, Targett, Longstaff, Ritchie, Murphy and Almiron aren't good enough. Trippier i...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U
Awful again from Trippier. He's been a great play but cost us far too many times this season. We were better off when he's injured. Time for him to retire, he's gone now.
Blatant penalty mind, unbelievable that it wasn't given. If that was at the other end it definitely would have.

Two clever signings. Good players, especially Tosin. Improve the defence and allow us to focus the budget elsewhere, RW hopefully.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 1:35 pmGetting close to a HERE WE GO

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)
Got to love the post Sir Fergie man u's ability to ruin good footballers. Casemiro was almost the Rodri a few years back. World class holding midfielder anyway. He is knocking on a bit now, so a bit of the Man U effect and a bit of natural aging I think. Yeah agreed. Think that's the reason Real Ma...

Everton £19.5m over limit - deducted 10 points (reduced to 6 on appeal) Forest £34.5m over limit - deducted 4 points (awaiting appeal) Everton £16.5m over limit - deducted 2 points (awaiting appeal) Should be a consistent penalty based on level of breach. Something like 10 points for anything up to ...

Re: Football Titbits
Comical how low the point deductions are. We might as well just breach ffp as the benefits far outweigh the punishment.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
I would have bought it from you but as I wasn't lucky in the ballot the missus booked a holiday and I now find myself in Mallorca on the day of the game. Just out of interest is it possible to transfer tickets between members with linked accounts? I thought only season ticket holders could transfer...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Cherries
The problem with the Burn selection is he's the only LB option that allows us to play Trippier in a more advanced role. In possession we set up with 3 players back, Schar, Botman and Burn playing as a back 3 with Trippier essentially a winger. Livramento isn't disciplined enough to play the Burn rol...

Re: Other Clubs Transfers/Rumours/Wishlist
Won't they just end up breaching it again next year though and get another points deduction like what's going to happen with Everton?
Surely they got to do something about it at some point u less they want to be 10 points down every season.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
What did Man Utd fall to, just the ST ballot? It's possible, but then you'll have unlimited members going for 500 remaining tickets so good luck with that... Needless to say I missed out on the Forest ballot, but setting off to Villa shortly. Arsenal's dropping from 15 points later but not doing th...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
If we got a decent offer for Trippier I'd be tempted. He's been a fantastic player for us but he's 34 and has started showing signs of decline. I'd imagine he'd be one of the higher wage earners at the club so it would aid the FFP concerns. With the great progress Tino has shown we already have a mo...

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
You can't have loyalty points if you don't have a season ticket I didn't renew my season ticket for the 19/20 season and I lost all my loyalty points even though I kept a membership throughout the time I didn't have a ST. When I luckily managed to get a ST again at the start of last season I had to ...

Nice that Liverpool are finally getting a taste of what it's normally like to play against Liverpool.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 7:18 pmPGMOL have released a statement saying the Liverpool disallowed goal was onside and VaR failed to intervene.
They've had enough dodgy decisions go in their favour the past few years.

Re: 2023-24 Champions League!!!
We've just managed to get Stanstead to Dortmund for £40 each on the Monday and Cologne to Stanstead for £30 each on the Wednesday.
Paris was a bit more expensive, just over £200 for trains from Newcastle to London and Eurostar to Paris. Cheaper than flights though.
Can't wait now though!

Glad the first game is away as I'm on holiday then. Was worried I was going to be paying £55 for nothing. Poor planning but we've had it booked before we qualified for the champions league.
Going to try and get to the Dortmund and Paris away games.

What a draw! Delighted with that.
Does anyone know when the dates for the games are confirmed. Eager to get some flights booked.

Re: Football Titbits
There's an easy solution. Mic the ref and the VAR and play the audio as part of the broadcast like they do in Rugby. You can hear the conversations between the referee, his two assistants and the TMO, which means even if you don't agree the decision you can at least hear their thought process and se...

If the rumours are true, what he's done is a hell of a lot worse than Toney. Probably looking at a lifetime ban from football and jail time.

Reckon it'll be a very open game and both teams will go for it. 5-3 to us.
