Re: 23/24 NUFC Kits Thread

Just below size it says Standard or Personalised (or similar). I went for Schar but he's not in the dropdown, utter disgrace. Had to type it myself. Probably end up with SHCAR. Huh, how about that, thanks! It's wild that ASM's face is still on the Select Player button. Annoyingly it adds $31 to the...

Re: Football Titbits

I'm no Brendan Rogers fan, but this is absolutely ridiculous. At worst it's mildly patronising from Rogers, and it's for the female presenter to decide if she was offended, not for some feminist group to pipe up demanding an apology. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg6d6552kkzo People have said...

Re: Football Titbits

Very disappointing news but there's still a chance they may be taken away again. Tbh even with a 10 point deduction I think they’d scrape survival due to how abysmal the bottom of the league is. Anyway, if you only get a 6 point deduction why not just sign a load of extra players and take the hit a...

Re: 23/24 NUFC Kits Thread

Said I wasn't going to get any kits from this season and would wait for Adidas but that's a f***ing good deal, Isak 14 home kit on the way 😅. Not keen on the green kit, I do like the 3rd though but unfortunately out of stock on my size. Not sure if it's because the website isn't working well for me...

Re: 23/24 NUFC Kits Thread

Just an FYI that the big sale seems to be kicking off, all 3 shirts at £21 at the moment with free names and numbers. Because it's Castore the kids ones are still more expensive... I think my wife threatened to divorce me if I support the Saudis by buying our kits...but maybe she'll forgive me for ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Gunners

Yeah onto the next one. Even at 2-0 felt like game over. Shows there's levels to being a title contender / CL regular (Pool, City, Arsenal) and then there's CL hopefuls (Villa, Spurs, Man United, us). We're nowhere near title contenders or CL regulars. We need to maintain a consistent level of gett...

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as gardening director

A better job offer has come up at a company where he'll have the backing of his mates, and it's the kind of opportunity that doesn't come around very often. Yeah it doesn't look great to job hop at that level, but he's got the chance to rebuild a giant without anywhere near the same FFP shackles we...

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as sporting director

I don't necessarily imagine his decision has anything to do with us. We can pretend we represent the best project on earth, but the reality is that we will never have the reach or potential resources Man U do, and given the neglect of their infrastructure and structure for the past couple decades, t...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Cherries

Agree on all the discussion. And one final point on the Burn and Botman point - agree that Botman has been caught out a few times lately, and I don't know if he's lost a step since his injury, but it only further highlights why the LB needed next to him right now has to have more pace than Burn to c...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Cherries

Immediately look better in possession with Tino too. So much more balanced with an additional option down the left.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Cherries

It's like Dan's been told to close nobody down because he'll otherwise get beat for pace, thereby giving up shots and passes. If you have to sub a defender this many weeks in a row, maybe change the starting XI. Howes time is running out Wtf is it with this Burn thing I'm not watching the game howe...

Re: Football Titbits

Reinforces why I think we need to maintain some momentum to finish out the season. We haven't reached the point yet where top player or staff talent will pick us irrespective of standings like Man U, Chelsea, etc. can get away with. We're a great project sure, but being owned by PIF means less when ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Forest

Barnes needs to start next match. And please just **** off with Burn at LB. For all his dodginess as a full back when attacked with a bit of pace, he cleared out about 90% of those long throws that forest were chucking in, so much so that by the second half they weren't in the slightest bit worryin...

Burn starts. As does Gordon. Rest of the team picks itself
Eddie would suggest the entire team including Burn picks itself.

Re: Howe under pressure?

I kinda hate that criticism of a manager immediately is immediate read as wanting to replace the manager - you can want to keep him while still levelling criticism for what feels like an obvious and repeating mistake. And I'll also clarify this is a big picture criticism, not something directed at t...

Just got in in time to see us go 3-2 down. Now 4!!

I'm going out again, **** this.

Have we really been that bad?
First half looked by far the more threatening team, but 2 lapses cost those goals. In the second half haven't offered much at all except s**** defending.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Hatters

I feel bad that Burn has become such a target of ire for me, but I hate that our back is against the financial wall and yet there are 2 expensive fullbacks sitting on the bench, one of whom was repeatedly man of the match when he was out.
