Which goal? The Wolves one I remember from that game was the penalty not given, in which case they definitely didn't rereferee it via the "high bar" for intervention. It's the other issue with VAR, there's definitely an element of refs being nervous to make a clanger and "leaving it" to VAR, which t...

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024

Consider its options. <laugh> Well with luck, forest can do the job of a stalking horse allowing others to join in and say that enough is enough. It's all very well having an extra set of eyes, but when there is unconscious big-club bias with just a referee, there is now double big-club bias with t...

RIP Joe Kinnear

Edit: Just realised that's actually not for Kinnear, but those terrifying mascots were there again today for his. Prominent on MOTD.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Am I right in saying that interest paid on stadium infrastructure does count though? Doesn't really matter for us, but I think that's what caught Everton out.

I'd quite happily live with the conference, it's if we finished 7th and missed out completely that would annoy me...

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024

The weirdest bit is hoping for Man City to win the cup just so the European slot goes to the league.

Re: Football Titbits

None on sale, and in fact the Supporters Trust (or possibly Supporters Club) were suggesting that even if tickets weren't renewed they wouldn't be resold as season tickets. I still think they're deliberately holding back so as to minimise disruption in any potential stadium move/expansion, but it co...

Rumours again of Bruno to psg due to him going to Disney land with his kid <laugh>

He has travelled to Paris a few times in the last few months mind <urgh>
I went to Disney in February and have just signed a 4 year deal at Metz, so I think we should be worried.

Re: Weekend football - 13/15 April 2024

I'm torn between happy Liverpool lost and sad that I've got Alisson, Konate, Salah and Jota in my draft team, and I swapped Eze for Olise. If anything I won that game for Palace.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Spurs

Straight red or two bookings? I don't think it was dangerous enough for a straight red, and in fairness to the ref he was extremely consistent. There's a fair argument he could've booked Maddison for crying like a baby when Burn wasn't booked two minutes after he got away with one mind. Thought the...
