Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Maddison, Szoboszlai and Paqueta (last year) all seem to be fan driven rumours rather than anything substantial. Sure there was some interest but for whatever reason the club didn't seriously pursue it. We don't do our business publicly so the chances are if there are loads of rumours, it will not ...

Re: Cricket

Were plenty of sparks flying yesterday! I don't know the details, but surely it's just a case of 'play to the whistle'? If Bairstow walked out his crease (almost immediately) and the official hadn't called the over then it was just a legal and opportunist move from the Aussies? Legal? Yes. The issu...

Ashes has lost a lot of its spark since it moved away from free view tv. Even non cricket fans used to get into it quite often, now it’s easy to forget it’s even on let alone know who’s doing what.

Midfield looked lost against Villa, hoping it's better today. Big opportunity for Gordon to make his mark as well.

Longstaff injured apparently. Would like to see Anderson come in and get a start, feel like he's barely had a kick since his gamechanging performance against Forest.

Re: Sean Longstaff reveals mental health struggles

Sean has always done the work that goes unnoticed. Our fans have been against him for years until recently, good to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Re: Matchday thread - Bournemouth v Toon

Burn was shocking. Never seen a player pass the ball so softly. All over twitter people have a go at ASM for not going to the ball, but he's waiting on the outside of his man, he needs it drilled into his feet rather than slowly rolled into an area where he's never getting there first. TheOther14 on...

Festivals have never appealed to me, I like my home comforts like a toilet that's not overflowing with s*** festering in the heat <laugh> Plus being soaked in other people's piss from people lobbing bottles of it doesn't do anything for me either <laugh> At Glastonbury my body clock was waking me u...

Very true. It is far from ideal. But we've been the better team more often than not. Rather than grinding out draws, we're just not quite doing enough to win. Once ASM is back I think our results will pick up.

Not a great result, but we were missing ASM and even Anderson who has provided a spark recently. Still only lost one of our first 7 games.

Plenty of time to get signings in, the window has only just opened. Players have been on international duty.

Re: January Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 21/22

Lingard is a good player albeit he seems very streaky. He's had a good half season at West Ham and some good spells at Man United but his overall career has been unremarkable. There's no guarantee that he comes in and plays like he did for West Ham. For near on £1m a game it would have been a huge g...

After managing to steer clear of Covid for 22 months, I finally tested positive on Sunday. Thankfully I feel absolutely fine but it is boring and inconvenient.

Agree on Merc f***ing up - they definitely should have pitted Lewis earlier. But then again they couldn't have predicted what a ridiculous balls up would happen given how close they were to the end They couldn't have predicted it but Max and RB gambled on strategy 4 or 5 times trying to do somethin...

Re: Squad Overhaul

We need to invest in the academy definitely. Look at City with their countless clones of David Silva that they seem to be producing now. Where? Foden is the only academy player they’ve brought through in the last decade. Chelsea’s academy is the one to aim for. Cole Palmer has played 9 times this s...

Re: January Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 21/22

I don't think Burnley's season depends on them keeping Tarkowski, without him their defence is still pretty well drilled, I think if they were offered £20m they would need to seriously consider it in order to improve in areas further up the pitch which you could argue gives them a better chance of ...
