Re: The Most Embarrassing Moment of Your Life

It all happened in year 10 of school. I was in a French lesson at the time and with the lesson just about to start I felt the urge to poo. Thinking to myself, I only had 1 hour to sit through I figured I could keep it in. About 20 minutes pass and my stomach is starting to hurt as I struggle to kee...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

Just want to make it known that Steve Wraith is a tool in the most literal sense. Scary how much he is pandering to the Saudi state; his mentions are flooded with green flags, a lot of them decrying so-called fake news and propaganda that's aimed against Saudi Arabia. Some of these accounts, many of...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

# allegedly 🙂 Think this is one of the occasions when I'm inclined to hold trust in the investigations of both the UN and CIA. Even if this is all somehow a global conspiracy to tarnish the Crown Prince's image and that multiple Saudi officials were simply acting by their own accord, let's not forg...

Re: Toon Takeover Thread

Talk of a 'second bid' on twitter. If there's any truth in it, it's likely a backup from Ashley in case the PIF deal somehow falls through (unlikely), especially since Stavely apparently has exclusivity till mid-May. I honestly wouldn't be upset if this all fell apart. I've actively avoided SJP for ...

Re: NUFC Underdogs XI

Simpson was as vanilla as it gets really in my opinion. I wouldn't go as far as to say that we were successful in spite of him, but he rarely had stand out performances. I remember getting particularly annoyed by the way in which he would persist with backing off a winger until they were in our box....

Re: NUFC Underdogs XI

This is a good shout to make. I shared a similar view at the time, so was perplexed as to why we were going in for another CM. In hindsight, things could have been a helluva lot different for us if it wasn't for Tioté; he was arguably the backbone that allowed that team to settle comfortably in the...

Re: NUFC Underdogs XI

I've got a bit of an odd one, probably in the same category of say a Fernandez/Schar type signing. I remember at the time we signed Tiote thinking "why are we signing him", he came in with little fanfare and we already had Nolan, Barton, Guthrie and Smith on the books and I just couldn't see a plac...

I think too many people have unfairly written Murphy off as being crap far too soon and based on incredibly little.

Re: Match day thread - Burnley v NUFC

Benitez signings were all the big performers today. Can anyone still criticize him on that front? Wasn't Perez the only player on the pitch who wasn't a Rafa signing? Slightly odd point to make after he's been here three seasons. More telling is the fact that this run of wins has come when he's bee...

Re: Match day thread - Burnley v NUFC

Benitez signings were all the big performers today. Can anyone still criticize him on that front? Some people are saying that they aren’t even his signings which is why they back Rafa more. They can’t have it both ways. They are his signings, but options he likely wouldn't have otherwise went with ...

Re: Match day thread - Burnley v NUFC

Its not even enjoyable when you win like that. Those players were f***ing s**** tonight to a man. I can’t praise a single one of them as having had a good game which says a lot. We held on though which is something, even if they had a free header 3 yards out as the last touch of the game <stone>

Re: Match day thread - Burnley v NUFC

Good defensive display, although did get lucky a few times with Burnley not being as clinical as they should have been. Diame motm for me, constant pressure from him. Kenedy had one of his better games, gave Ki a good outlet.

Deserved win. Hold little patience for Perez, could have lost us the game with his attempt at glory.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Brighton

Don’t think you can describe him as s*** but I do not think he is what we need now. We need someone who can recruit well with limited funds - we are Liverpool or Real Madrid. His use of the money has been poor and decisions in letting certain people go poor. Ashley is also to blame for not investin...

Re: The Ameobi Arcade

Anyone play much Hearts of Iron 4? I've played it a bit (27hrs on steam) but stopped playing because I hated the dumbed down combat. Much prefer the micro-management of the combat in the earlier versions. Am still totally addicted to HOI 2. Played for about 10 hours yesterday (Germany - Road to War...

Re: The Ameobi Arcade

I'll probably not get a reply, but has anyone played Escape from Tarkov? I've been craving a game that mimics that early Day Z survival/pvp vibe and was wondering if it could perhaps tickle my fancy. Yes i play it. It's early doors yet but the goal is to have all the maps connected, as it stands it...
